WLS Success-through Powerful Positive Attitudes

Birth Control (OT)

Just taking a look at Super Nanny.  I think it would be an excellent incentive for birth control....  On the serious side I bow down to all of you that are parents.  I don't know how you do it sometimes.  I have a brother that is an extreme paranoid schizophrenic and to say that his mental illness didn't effect the entire family (and still does) is an understatement.  It was such a struggle and I was even married before with some really bad step children that I had my tubes tied at 31.  The doc asked me if I was really sure and I told him that if he met my step children he would do it for free and if he didn't do it, I was going to the vet.  My brother's illness left such a permanent effect on me and then with step children that were REALLY bad...I stuck with 4 legged children.  Again....bless those that manage to have children and get them grown and you live through it!

WOW those must have been some bad step children to threaten going to the vet.. haha :)

There are days when I wonder myself how I do it??  It's almost like life after surgery, minute by minute, hour by hour and day by day.  I too love me some four legged children!

Hope everyone is doing well.  Up here in Indy we are getting one of our February snow storms.. BBBBBBRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR  it's cold...

Oh let me tell you.  The oldest was a girl who was stoned 24/7 and on other things too sometimes.  I knew it and her parents were in total denial and I was nobody.  When she finally got in so much trouble she was put in juvenile and was to stay there for 3 days and see a judge.  She was safe, she had a roof over her head and most of all there would be consequences.  Her dad got her out before she saw the judge.  She was stealing things that were valuable to me like my senior ring, cameras, a really expensive VCR (back then) and was destroying my house.  She was truly a sociopath and delighted in stealing her girlfriends boyfriends.  She would wear out her welcome with one grandmother, her mother, then us.  She kept switching around (one grandmother was smart enough to not participate).  It was because of sending her to a medical thing that they tested the whole family and found out I was a super bad co-dependent.  They were 2 point questions and I got a 98 so I probably lied on that one question.  It was thanks to that therapy that I learned that I could no longer stay in that house nor could I continue to work for my dad because I spent my whole life looking for his approval.  For 7 months I got up every day saying I am going to Dallas and leaving my house behind and my job and family business because if I don't, I will die.  I left with my clothes and some of my things and got a ride in a pick up truck with no air conditioning and rode to Dallas and started completely over at 33.  Because of a 401K I was able to buy a crappy car to get to work. A few years after I left I found out she took some PCP and broke through the front door of the condo (the door was metal) and she was 90 something pounds dripping wet.  No one learned still.  She finally was caught driving a get away car during a bank robbery and went to jail.  She was very very ill and I escaped with my life.  It was strained with my dad for quite a while but it was the smartest thing I ever did.  I learned that I finally broke free of the approval thing when my dad made a remark about my surgery one day when he said one of my cousins was looking great after having gastric bypass and she didn't take it too far like I did.  Before it would have crushed me but I just figured that was his opinion and I've got mine so we can agree to disagree.  So funny...I spent years being told I needed to lose weight and now I'm too thin.  It is what it is!

Thanks my sweet lady.  I had to make a choice...I decided to live.  I was making plans of trying to find a cliff in Louisina to drive off so my mom woudn't know I did it on purpose.  I can do hard things...yes I can and so can everyone here once they realize that we are all one.  All equal...unique and loving human beings.
Loving ya too, Y

I, for one, am so grateful you didn't find that cliff.  That way is never the answer but only those that choose it know what was going on in their head at that time.  You made the tougher choice in my opinion.  You chose to fight back and you have done a wonderful job!  I'm sure it still isn't easy, life isn't easy, but in the end there are many great rewards !  Thank you for being here for all of us !

Let God's presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom
to sing, dance, praise, and love.  It is there for each and every one of us.
