Going Back to work Today

So as many may know I have been off work since the end of April '09. I was going to go on fmla May 1 but my father in law died the very end of april so I took bereavment time up to my fmla. Apparently my darling dh was diagnosed with cancer about the same time as his dad, but he decided to keep that information to himself. I knew, but I just allowed myself to fall into denial, like I never have before. Then One month after his Nephrectomy I had a total hip replacement, that I had a lot of problems with.  I tell you the whole story not for sympathy but to tell you I am thank ful that I was able to have this time with DH and learn things that would make him better and make me healthier. His prognosis is now very good!!! Both my mom and his sister (at different times) yesterday said wow he looks really good, his skin everything, he really looks like he's taking good care of himself. I can't wait for his doctor to see him!!! His doctor (who we love!) is one of those who tell his patients, just eat what you can to get the calories in. At first DH was doing that, he didn't want to hear what I had to say about sugars and sweetners. He did what many of us do he went to the comfort foods. So chrismas evening he had eaten the saltine brittle my mom made (omg it was good, well worth the dump...lol) and fruit cake, lots of fruit cake, and he was feeling BAD. He actually looked like he was dumping, so I took his blood sugar-289!!! It was his eye-opener. I am so thankful he is taking better care now. I can go back to work and not be worried sick about him. DH and I are bonded on a level that not many are, I beleive. We finish each other sentences like twins, and feel what the other feels no joke, The other day he spilled his water bottle and picked it up I asked him if the water spilled he said "no". all of a sudden I feel wet on my right hip, and he says "oh I did spill" and it was on his right hip, and mine was completely dry btw.

I don't really know what the purpose of my post is, to much coffee maybe..lol Or maybe just to remind myself How thankful I really am, luck and happiness always seem to find their way to me. Today I face my first day back at work with a smile on my face.
