I am very much into the eye is in the beholder and can't stand photo snobs that have negative things to say.  I love the lighting on the fingers and the reaching for the light.  The second one is absolutely gorgeous shot.  I believe you can pick up tricks with classes but I also believe that you are born with the eye and you've certainly gotten it along the wayl  Can't wait to see more!  Keep them comingl
hugs, Y

Thanks for the lovely compliment, Miss Redd!

And as for both you and Yvonne, your photography/graphic arts shots are beautiful!  Each one has wonderful composition, and interplay of light and color.  They really are special!

Yvonne, I'll send you the full file from my home computer later on.  Thanks so much!

Let God's presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom
to sing, dance, praise, and love.  It is there for each and every one of us.

Are you freakin' kidding me!  These are absolutely stunning!  I would kill, okay... maybe not kill, but close, to capture the bottom photo here.  Moody landscapes are my absolute favorite next to shooting wild animals and this is just beautiful and worthy of being framed as Fine Art.

Do you shoot in RAW?  If you do, I was just curious as to whether or not you tried doing any adjustments with the fill light slider.

Hi Krysti!

Thanks SO much for your kind words! As far as shooting in the raw-LOL! If I was..I wouldn't know it-I am that elementary at it!

Hugs and thanks again!

~laughing~  Not IN the RAW... too funny!   In general it means unprocessed data as captured by the CCD/CMOS sensor in your camera.  Post processing by the user allows more control over the conversion.

You are probably shooting in jpg, which is compressed.  RAW is considered a lossless format as no pixels are lost... the downside is that these RAW images are huge and requires software to convert the captured data into an image.

BUT... shooting IN the raw has advantages as well!!  ~laughing~

Great Job, Yvonne!  As you already know, I am an amateur photographer.  I'm also a Photoshop junkie.  Oh, and a plug-in junkie and and action junkie...

Hair... hair is my nemesis and I absolutely HATE it.  It's right up there with the Pen Tool, which I'm sure I hate because I just can't seem to master it!  What do you use to segregate the hair?

I did my teething on Photoshop contests at worth 1000.  I always loved photography and Photoshop just seemed an extension of my photography.

Someday I'll have to share the graphics I did for the contests I entered.

OH MY GOD!  Worth 1000!  I was addicted!  I SOOOOOOOOOOO apologize for the walk down memory lane but I just had to show you.  For those that don't know, some are real pictures and some are digitally manipulated like the one below.

I won with the rose/pearls (real picture)

Again these are MANY years ago. Another of my winners

4th place on this one

This one didn't rank so high but I loved it

Lots of photo manipulation of my niece....again didn't rank so high. Obviously digital imaging.

This one did OK.

A Dallas Skyline

Kinda funny ....digital imaging

Our Dallas loft a few years ago

A shadow of myself

The cutest cat mom and baby picture I ever took

This one was a second place winner

I spent so many hours competing and it was fairly political.  It's funny I did the image below with some basic tricks and it did really well but yet I spend hours on the one of my neice and it didn't do that well.

thanks Krysti for the walk down memory lane and thanks everyone else for putting up with me doing it.  Krysti I'd love for you to share yours too!  My other big fun thing I do is put people in the picture that were never there or take them out.  I can put you in a picture with someone famous and you'd never know it was fake.
hugs, Y

Here's a photo of the moon that I took last night... not that it's graphic art, but I did turn it into monochrome, used a sharpening action and an adjustment layer to play with the brightness.

eEdited to add what I did to the photo.
