WLS Success-through Powerful Positive Attitudes
New pics and some other happy news!
I went on a followup visit to my breast surgeon's office today (I had a benign papilloma removed two years ago, and I've been on a crazy round of mammograms ever since - today was just another in a series). Anyway, at the end of the appointment, my doctor confessed that she took the news of my (then) upcoming WLS with an enormous grain of salt. She had real doubts whether I would see any success. But my chart today shows that I am merely overweight. My BMI is below 30. My weight is 161. My blood pressure was 102/78. She expressed her sheer pleasure at seeing me succeed. I admit it, I basked in her praise.
Second - I have new pics on my profile in the "Progress" album. Although the clothes suck - they're just my workout clothes. I try to wear something simple each time I have progress pics taken, so that you can actually see the changes to my body. Forgive the arms - they're awful. They always have been. Someday, I'll get a brachioplasty, and hopefully, they'll be near normal. But I think my general profile is changing!
My next goal is 146 - that's the point at which I will have lost half of my original starting weight. That's just 15 pounds away!
