Malcontents!!

I'm glad you did it too!  And it's in a place that's so close to reply that I've almost hit it.  I'm totally open about my stuff but would feel awful about sharing someone else's words without their knowledge.  What a mess.  And darlin' you can rant all you want because your rants are so calm and that's what this board is for.  Good conversation....we can debate....whatever....you know just as long as we don't bully or call each other names.  Go for it girl!  And thanks for looking out for us!!!  We are on official JEllenator Watch!!  WOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOO
hugs, Y

So I'm going to guess that since they have moved the 'add this' buttons to the right and have not removed them they do plan to keep them?

Hey Gorgeous!

They actually pushed the buttons to the right side of the page. They must have done that yesterday sometime (I think?)-at least they won't be hit on accident.

Still-I don't love them and I totally think it adds exposure many do not want. Hopefully we can all come to a common ground on it somewhere.

Hugs-hope all is well for you

Yep, I accidentally hit one the other day but thanks to not having my twitter connected I was able to stop it.  I was already concerned about people sharing things without meaning to but now I'm more concerned about someone sharing posts on purpose in order to cause harm.  I guess it will come to a head if someone gets damaged and/or gets upset enough.  Again, I so wish there were a way that it only shared "your" post.  Now because so many people have changed their avatars and names, I am forgetting who people are!  Like Danelle said, it won't work on the group posts because you have to be a member to read them but if I want to share something, I'll just put it here.
Love you guys, Y

I am one of the people that changed my avatar, sorry Yvonne and those that I just met since joining this wonderful group... I tried to make my avatar outrageous enough that it would still stand out!

I fully understand that anyone could have at anytime copied and pasted something I posted here in OH, but like so many others, putting the buttons there shares more than just a single post.

I very rarely posted on the other boards... I spent some time on the sex before and after WLS because I had some question, but the drama there was too much for me so that was very short lived.  Then, I posted on the Main Board one day about being upset that my surgeon said I can expect to lose 50% to 70% of my excess weight when I've seen others have lost so much more and I had a moment of "should I really do this?"  I was instantly flamed by DS patients and have been extremely careful about any posts since.

Anyway, it isn't that I am hiding my surgery from the world, but my facebook and my twitter account are separate from OH and I prefer it stay that way.  My surgery is a personal choice and doesn't need to be gossip material for the general population.  Just my opinion and eventually, I may feel differently about it... when I'm post-surgery and feel better about me.

So anyway, I chose to remove anything of a too personal nature.  I email privately with several fantastic folks I have met here on OH and now I am a member of this private and wonderful group!

Okay, I'm don't with my rambling.... ~laughing~
