I'm Worried

Ugh.  I have this new fear now...that my insurance company will deny me.  I don't know why, since the insurance coordinator and dietician have told me that my insurance approves people very easily....I just have that fear that it will be MY luck I get denied.  Ugh.  It will absolutely devastate me.

Ok now listen to me Suzy!

If your insurance coordinator and the dietician said that your insurance approves easily WHY should you doubt it???

When I went to my first appt. the insurance coordinator took a look at my insurance card and gave a sigh of relief! She said she had been battling with ins companies all week and was exhausted from doing so.
That very day she gave me a surgery date. (However,  I viewed as tentative. All the preop paperwork tests, etc, etc.)

but that woman knew her stuff...she called me to tell me that I had gotten approved! Surgery went ahead without a hitch.

Don't make worries that aren't there! There are plenty of real things to worry about without having to make more for ourselves...

lecture having been said... admittedly most of us have done this from time to time... now is the time to stop it.... and move forward!
Save your strenght for your recovery... We will make room on the loser's bench for you! Congrats on your decision for WLS!
we all need reassurance now & then....

I know, I know...I should not be making any more stress for myself.  It's just that I am COUNTING on this SO MUCH.  I am obsessing over it.  I really shouldn't be doing that either.

I'm a mess, aren't I?  OK deep breaths....I will be approved - I will be approved :)

I want you to visualize you getting that call or that letter.  I want to see you setting up your appointment and doing all the stuff you do when you find out you're approved.  I want you to see yourself checking in the hospital really early one morning.  I know this may sound strange but it works!  Attract the good into your life!
hugs, Y

Ok dokey - I'll imagine all those things, Yvonne!

And Thank you, Judy!  I will only allow myself to think positively from here on out (well most of the time anyway - lol)

Suzy, I have to admit I had the same fear before I got approved. I almost worried myself sick over it. Please don't do that to yourself..its so not worth it. These people know insurance companies so well because they deal with them so much that if they tell you you should be approved then you have nothing to worry about. This is being said to you by one of the biggest worry warts on the planet..lol...This is a time in your life to be excited and be thinking about all the wonderful things you have to come after your surgery. Focus on the changing of your brain and let the Dr office worry about the insurance and paperwork for awhile. I know its hard to do..but you can do it girl!!! Keep your chin up and know that I am praying for you and your approval.  Katie
