WLS Success-through Powerful Positive Attitudes
Sharing something I posted
I have read (with so much difficulty) some of the posts on the main board lately. It's like a sinking ship and the hole keeps getting bigger. Someone posted some nice words about life, something positive and I posted this. I wanted to share it with you.
I imagined so many things as an obese woman becoming thin. Of course I could not possibly know some of the things that were going to happen but I mostly envisioned a life saved. Then I envisioned helping others walk more safely through their journeys. I never would have, could have .....imagined that I would read some of the things I have lately. I try not to get pulled in but I feel like the toothpaste is out of the tube and cannot be put back in. I see so many taking part in conversations that will only make success harder (if not impossible) and it makes me sad to see those lives wasting away....drifting out to sea.... never to know the joy that could have been experienced. Thank you for making my day a good bit brighter in a not so bright place lately.
With that being said...I want to thank each of the members here for being so kind and supportive. I'll never forget one of our members saying he was actually concerned about getting WLS because he was worried about it making him mean. I can't imagine how spending hours of the day ranting at people equates to a better way of life. Bless you guys for sharing a dream, a safe haven....a place where you can come and not worry about being yourself.
hugs to all, Y
a couple of pretty pictures of mine to share too
