What a pleasant surprise this am! I couldn't believe my eyes or my scale! 186.5 down from 288!

This is amazing to me. I know many have lost MUCH faster than I have but I am content with MY journey. Without the surgery and the support of all the wonderful folks here I can't imagine having lost this much weight. In the last 5-10 years I haven't lost more than maybe 10-15 lbs at any time... then I would gain it back. So I fell into the mindset of just maintaining around 288! My goal was NOT to get to 300.

THAT was a good goal actually- because without THAT GOAL...
there is no doubt in my mind that I would have gotten to 300+ lbs.

So no more blood pressure meds for me! I feel wonderful.
Doing well at Curves. Looking forward to cross-country skiing this winter. Maybe doing some snow-shoeing again... and next summer...buying some new swimsuits! yee ha! Maybe I'll even buy that Kayak I've been dreamin' about for a long time!

what an amazing journey to health this is!

Last week I was stuck at 189 for 4 days! and look this week I've lost 3.5 lbs  absolutely terrific!!! ( if I do say so myself!!!)

Let God's presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom
to sing, dance, praise, and love.  It is there for each and every one of us.

Kathy you have such a wonderful way of writing!  I think your introduction about your cats tops them all!  You are such a quick wit and I appreciate your support so much.

You absolutely can say so yourself!  I am loving seeing all these successful people. That is awesome!!!  I am feeling stuck or yo-yo since I got down around 210 lbs, a year ago now.  I'm much more healthy & look forward to reaping more benefits.  I'll keep visiting; & stay positive & stay out of the food, & out being active.  I was holding 300 at bay, too!  I think I'd love a kayak.  Feeling comfortable in shorts, tanks & swimsuits is incredible isn't it?

Again YES! feeling comfortable is amazing ... no matter what I have on!
being able to cross my legs! and stay seated that way for long periods of time! Still a shock everytime I do it!

and Kayaking-- if you've never tried it... you must!

It isn't all level 5 rapids! nice to just go down a slow river and enjoy the scenery - the birds- the serenity!
Of course, some little rapids are nice just for some excitement...

Kayaks are very stable in the water. Much more so than a canoe which can easily tip! and very manageable for 1 person!

Make it a goal!

and don't forget YOU are successful too! just taking a little break for a bit now re- focus and get movin! (a little tough love)

I didn't have a bathing suit for 30 years!  I would love to have a kayak too!  Wouldn't that be so cool to go out early in the morning when it's so peaceful?  That's what yoga does for me.  It's starting to get too cold to do it outside but that's OK.  These successful people are good and positive people too.  I am so grateful for each and every member.

This is so incredible to get to watch you from the beginning.  One of the reasons you are a success is because you ARE content with your journey.  It doesn't matter how much anyone else has lost because you are on your journey and what a journey it has been.  I am sooooooo proud of you and I can't tell you what a difference you've made in my life just by being here.   You are awesome and strong....
