Ugh - Drama

So - just when I thought things were going well...I've lost more than 50 lbs, I'm feeling pretty good, can drink as much water as I want, and can eat almost anything (well, except for poultry and wheat)...I found a lump. yep. I'm a 32 yr. old with a lump in my breast. I'm sure it is fine, but jeez, I'm tired of medical drama for awhile! I had a doctors appointment this morning, and she said it was uneven, and quite large (size of an egg!), so I have to have an ultrasound. I hate getting worked up over something that is probably hormone related, but I'm nervous all the same! Some of my friends say it must be a fat pocket that had nowhere else to go. Hopefully, that's all that it is!

I know you are tired of medical drama....bless your heart.  When are you going for the ultrasound?  I'll bet it's hormone related too.   I know it's hard not to worry so I just hope they'll get that test done right away!  I tried to answer your post earlier but my day just went nuts on me.  Please let us know what's next for you and in the meantime I'm sending lots of positive light your way.
hugs, Y

Kari...

Sorry you are going through this....
perhaps it is hormonal or perhaps it is a lipoma which is just a collection of fat cells. Try not to get mentally convinced of the worst.
Worrying only robs you of your strenght! Hang in there!

Still IF there is a problem... it is better to KNOW than to NOT be aware...

they can take care of it and you'll be fine. Ignorance of a serious health issue can only make matters worse.

Hope it turns out to be nothing to be concerned about.
I'll be thinking of you...

Judy

Thanks for the positive thoughts - they must have worked, because I feel much better about it all this morning!

My GP told me that as I lost weight I would find all kinds of new lumps and bumps on my body that I never knew existed....sadly, she was right and my body is a mess!!!!

I had a scare when I was 30 relating to a breast lump and thankfully it turned out to be nothing more than a swollen lymphnoid - the Dr. at the walkin clinic had me thinking I was dying (my GP was on holiday at the time).

I will keep you in my prayers but likely, it is just some tissue that has accumlated and will disappear as you lose more weight.

Thanks so much for keeping me in your thoughts! I went and had my ultrasound today, and it ended up being a Fibroid cyst. Whew! I'm so releaved, and EXHAUSTED. This week has been torture, but I lost an additional 2 lbs! YAY! I have to stay positive and motivated, right! :)
