SEPT 23rd- Two month surgiversary and I'm getting scoped

Well in the morning I'll be off to the hospital to get scoped.
Two months ago I was off to the hospital to have my surgery!!!
I have lost a reasonable amount of weight these past 2 months and have gone from a size 24 dress to 18! A top that I wore today is a 16!!!
I even have gotten into a size 18 pair of jeans!

So even though my weight loss isn't as high as my friend Chris...
(MEN- they Always seem to lose faster....lol) I am happy with my success.

The difference with me... was i started out ok after surgery following plan... except for a few slips... then it started getting more difficult to drink my fluids. Started vomiting daily and became afraid to eat or drink for fear of vomiting.  Haven't been able to get ALL of my fluids or protein in for 2 wks or so... BUT STILL I AM taking my chewable vitamins DAILY!

I feel pretty good actually, in spite of the difficulties.
I've been trying to alternate one day concentrate on fluids/ the next on my protein. maybe that has helped.  Although today I was extremely tired. However, I think that may have been because over the weekend- I had gone away and had problems with my CPAP machine(nasal mask)
felt tight and was leaving red marks on face.  so for 2 nights I didn't use it all. Last night I only had it on for perhaps 4 hours- woke up with my mouth stuck together from being so dry...

So I'm really hoping that tomorrow gives me relief so I can move forward to my weight loss goal. I can't believe I've come so far already.

I'm really proud of Chris and his success. I just have to remember that all of us are different and not compare my loss with those who are taking it off faster. I will still get to goal-- just take me a little longer...
but that's ok Because I'M IN IT FOR THE LONG HAUL!

I'll try to post tomorrow and let you know how it went...

love to all

Ahh,  the infamous stricture!!  I hope that is all it is; it sure sounds like it.  I had a stricture and they are really tough to live with but the good news is that they are incredibly easy to fix.  I INSTANTLY felt like a new person and I was able to drink a ton in recovery.

And stop comparing yourself to that "Chris" guy!  He's a guy!!  Your weight will come off just as well.  He's probably a real jerk anyways! LOL

Hugs,

Chris

You are doing great!   I am a few days behind you and I too am wearing 18 and sometimes 16 pants....feels great doesn't it.

My chest however is not coming down like yours - I sure wi**** would but "the girls" have a mind of their own and seem to want to stay humungeous at the moment.  I will strive to catch up to your size 16 top this month...could be a tough goal as "the girls" have me trapped in a 22 top as of today.

I am sorry to hear you are having some complications.  I hope everything gets sorted out for you today.

Happy anniversary!
