Good Tuesday Morning!!!

Good morning all.  What a great day it is!!  Why??  Because I am a WLS success story.  To who?  To me.  And that is all that matters.

Seriously, I have lost 150 lbs and maintained until just recently.  I have gained 2 lbs over my goal area (210-215).  I was 217 when I went to work yesterday afternoon.  I know that is easily correctable, but that is why I weigh every day.  To make sure I catch it.  I am actually anxious to get on the scale to see if I was successful.  I may not have been, and if not, I vow, I will make a concerted effort the next couple of days to stay on track.

Good morning George!  You are doing exactly what I do.  I know I can handle whatever comes my way as long as I can keep that in control.  It may not be necessary for others but I have seen the misery that some people put themselves through when the weight creeps back on.  I have seen some women depressed over 15-20 pounds and are more miserable than when they weighed 300 pounds.  It is part of our disease...the beating ourselves up for supposed failure when the truth is that if they were to switch their thinking, they would be able to get it off easier.  It is far easier to fix it while it is small than when it gets out of hand.  I am so proud of you George and thank you so much for the very kind words in the other thread.

and George nice hearing your story! I saw your wife's photos and was amazed at what the surgery did for her! When my hubby saw so many of the before & afters THAT is what made him get in my corner for the surgery! I could have said the most convincing things...
but it was the Before's & Afters that did it .... so thanks for sharing!
