WLS Success-through Powerful Positive Attitudes
Good Morning All....
hmmm it's official today I am 3 weeks out from surgery and I can't believe how I feel. Other than a few minor episodes of eating a little to Fast which caused some distress- I am feeling WONDERFUL!
I've started to set the alarm on my phone to remind myself when to start sipping after I eat my little meals... otherwise- i just forget and then drink to fast and run into a bit of trouble.
Of course, all these warnings have been posted by those who are long time WLS success stories... but sometime we just must learn for ourselves what our bodies will or will not tolerate...
MY GOAL for today- full fluid goal 64oz, full protein goal...
I'm going to try!
WHAT IS YOUR GOAL for TODAY????
I wish you success!
I'm so glad you feel so great!!! My goal (of sooooooo many) is to get some system where I can keep track of everyone's upcoming surgery dates because I know I missed some of our members that didn't shout it out. I'm going to play with the system and see if I can somehow find a way there. If not I'll do a sticky post for members to post in and I'd like to post their surgery page so we can send best wishes.
On a bad note...I HAVE to deal with 9 kittens in various rooms in my house that I rescued from the neighborhood so we can stop the insanity of more kittens. I have gotten all of them except 5 that are too young to reproduce yet. I feed them also every day and they live in a nice man's storage area safe with the pool equipment behind a fenced area. I have to get them next before they get older. ALL the rescues are full, nobody but the city will take them, nobody in the neighborhood wants them and I've socialized them and they are all sweet loving kissing babies. It breaks my heart ...and I get myself in this mess so I have to be responsible and get myself out of it too. I'm not looking for adoption from you guys...I just needed to share it with someone.
I know it's part of life...but damn....it is definitely the hardest part for me sometimes....
love you guys! Y

Know that those babies are so loved by you right now and that you are giving them something that was missing.. They are blessed to have you and something good will come out of all your love for them!

The phone idea is a good one! I'm at my computer all day so I have it set up in outlook as a reminder to take my vitamins!! haha.. Technology is great (when it works tee hee).
Yes our bodies all respond differently to surgery and what we can or can not tolerate. Just remember we are all human, we all make mistakes and we learn and grow from them!
Ok I'm jumping on the goal wagon with you. My goal today is to take two 15min walks outside during my work day and tonight take an hour walk with my dog and the family!
Any other takers???????????

Plus, I want to walk at least a mile or two during the day on my breaks and during lunch. I finally remembered to bring socks to work. My tennies are already here, but I hate the way my feet feel in tennies without socks.
I need to do this four or five times a week.
Good luck with all our goals!
I was a perpetual FAST EATER... learned that in grade school- stand in lunch line for 15mins- then have to wolf down food in 10 minutes while talking with friends! oh yeah and have to stand in line another 5 minutes for ice cream..... IMHO- Kids should have an hour lunch!
when i relapse into eating fast-- I pay the price! DID well today though!
hope for a better day tomorrow!
