Liquid Sunshine = Rain? Hmm, I hadn't heard that one... But, I did learn "Filtered Sunshine" means cloudy!!! Don't ask me why I ended up in the Pacific Northwest, I had NEVER been here, til it was time to look at houses. Clue #1, if you do NOT know the geography, visiting near the end of August is the ONLY time the Seattle Area see's anything near 90 degrees! We see heat (haha) maybe two - three WEEKS of the year!!!
I do love the Area, though! It has taken me a long while getting used to snow & temps below 60 (I know, I am a big baby!!!), but the people here are why I stay!!!
As for the weight gain, just look at it as a new challenge ;) You will get there, you are just taking the "scenic" route!
Thanks for the welcome! OH! and it is 8pm here, and the sun is STILL bright!!!
Brenda : )~
Hey Brenda!! Welcome!!
Don't be creeped out by the couples thing because statistics actually show that if you have surgery with a parnter that you'll be more successful. That's all good!
I love your wit and I'm so glad you found us here. It sounds like you've done tons of research and know your stuff and that's awesome. It sounds like it's going to happen just as it should...when everything lines up correctly. I remember a year ago when I was typing something just like this to JEllen and yesterday she celebrated her first year surgiversary and looks incredible.
Welcome again...so glad you're here!
hugs, Y

I am sure my partner in crime & I will do well, we've been an unstoppable force almost tend years, and I am looking forward to the next ten!
The couples thing is kind of funny, his parents bought us matching Hawaiian shirts - sad thing, I barely fit in his shirt. So we had an out for showing up to the party in the same shirt! I am planning to take photos of the two of us in the matching shirts - when they fit... Actually, it would make a cool example of how we are progressing - take photos in the shirts, until we (hopefully) can both fit in the larger shirt!
Thank you for the welcome, I am looking forward to giving and getting support!

WELCOME talk to you another time! (when i'm awake! )
I had the fobi pouch, gastric bypass 10/28/09. I am currently 22 years young, and I've lost 235 pounds so far. When I was 21 I weighed in at 441 pounds. I'm only 5'9" (bmi was 65). I had diabetes and even on my medication, my systolic blood pressure spiked up to the 190's. Having gastric bypass has saved my life; there's no doubt I would have croaked by now if it weren't for wls. I was packing on weight like there was no tomorrow. My "last supper" lasted three months, in which I gained the last 50 pounds.
Today I have become free from my binging and my addiction to food,. I never thought I would be given a second chance at life, and I never imagined that I could ever be healthy, happy and free from my obsession for food. My obsession for food was so strong that I felt completely hopeless of it ever letting go. I never want to forget the pain and misery I went through from being so young and so ill. I don't take anything I have today for granted. I want to connect with more people who have gone through this life saving process.
Now that I am healthy and happy, I feel the need to connect with other wls friends more than I ever needed too before.I feel the need to share the good emotions I feel today.
All the best to you, Yehuda Groden
PS: I'm working on the avatar. I'm just not a techno genius, so I'm trying to figure out how to make the picture to fit the formatting rules. Below I will post my current before and after video, in which I show some of the few pictures I have during the years that I gained my weight, and what I'm like now.
