Wow! You'll lose a lot before you get married!  I hope if you're wearing a special dress that you keep a seamstress close by.  I'm so glad you joined and so glad we'll get to watch you walk through to your second chance!

Hi! I'm Kelly. I am 2 months post op (VSG) TODAY!! I am happy to be part of such a positive forum. OH has been very helpful to me pre-op and post-op. It is great to share stories and ask others who are going through many of the same experiences for advice and guidance. I enjoy meeting new positive people. SOOOO happy to be here and feeling WLS success.

I live in northern Minnesota. I love to laugh.I'm 50, happily married and have 3 great kids.

I just finished a blog about being a "chrysalis"....an amazing stage of learning and transforming....slowly understanding all about being a butterfly --and a metaphor for the WLS process. I'm seeing a lot of butterflies in this forum and it is a delightful sight!

Hi Kelly, you have such a beautiful smile.  WELCOME!!! So glad you're here.  I'm going to point a post towards this one so no one misses it.  This thread is getting long and I don't want anyone to miss it.  Congrats on 2 months!  I hope you'll be here when it's 2 years.  I just celebrated 9 years and I'm looking forward to 10.  We've got people from all over and even South Africa!  I'm so pleased you are here and thanks for introducing yourself.
hugs, Y

KELLY--Welcome!!!! Like Y said-you have a great smile-very contagious! I love the excitement of new post ops-I need YOU way more than you need ME. Your positive energy inspires me to want to "do better" with the gift of WLS God has granted me.

Hi , I am  Lisa From East TX, A wife , a mother of 4 and a grandmother, and for the first time I am Me! At 42 years of age I had a RNY almost 3 months ago and so far I have lost 58 pounds wooo hooo .
I had thought about WLS for over a year and it took that  year to change the way I thought and was able to start eating a healthier way to bring a better success in my post surgery.
I feel better and happier , I started living again and enjoying my life.
Looking forward to meeting more people who understand what we are going through in this journey.

Hugs to all, Lisa

HI LISA!! Welcome!! I'm just south of Ft Worth, so we're probably not too far apart geographically, and we're just keystrokes away HERE!

42 and a GRANDMOTHER? Did you marry at 12??...lol...Congrats to you on making the decision for HEALTH and for taking care of YOU. We VERY often put ourselves LAST (totally guilty myself). Often we have to be convinced we DESERVE to be FIRST sometimes! It sounds like you are being very successful.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. You will not be "flamed" here. it's not that kind of board.
