OK, what's your stinkin' thinkin' telling you??

My stinkin' thinkin' -

I still feel like I'm the biggest person in the room sometimes when I'm in meetings.  Not that it should be a big deal, but it was something I noticed when I WAS the biggest.   I'm 5'9" and 170 lbs. and wear 8's and 10's, but I wonder if I'll ever feel like I'm a "normal" size.

I still worry when I sit down on aluminum chairs or things that don't seem solidly built.   I still have this nagging feeling sometimes about not wanting to certain things because I'm "too big".  Like - riding rides at the amusement park, hanging out at the beach or going down the slide with my grandkids.

I sometimes have to remind myself that stairs are a piece of cake for me now (I love stairs!), so I don't hesitate to go to concerts or athletic events.

Even though I love to wear fitted tops, dresses and belts that accentuate my new flat tummy, the choir in my head chimes in sometimes and tries to convince me that I should still be wearing baggy tops and covering up.

It's very weird.  And silly, I know.  I just need to convince the choir of that!

Give yourself some time for your brain to catch up. I can remember one of my WOW moments was when I was walking outside and the wind was blowing my shirt up against my body and my old habit of grabbing my shirt and pulling it away from my body (so you couldn't see how big I was under that 4x shirt) and it kicked in that I didn't have to do that anymore.  It's the little things and that's why I often tell others to journal about these things so when you have a bad day you can go back and read this so you never ever forget where you came from.
Great post!
hugs, Y

My journal for today:

When I do laundry, those little tiny panties coming out of the dryer are MINE!!!!

I'm thankful for padded, push-up bras!  And no more bra extenders!

My razors last longer and I don't use as much body lotion.

I can use a normal sized bath towel with room to spare.

My 7-yr. old grandson can get his arms all the way around me.  He says, "Look how big I'm getting grandma!  I can get my arms around you!"

It's always a grand day!

~ Hugs back at 'ya Yvonne!

Have you seen this??  It made me think of you!

Yep, me too on the towel.  It was one of those WOW moments that never gets old for sure.  I like bigger towels but I'm pretty excited when I can wrap one around me from a hotel.
big hugs, Y
