Knowing Yvonne

There are some newbies on this board that are just experiencing the wonders of Yvonne. 

I have known Yvonne for about 5 years now.  For the first 2 I did not know she had had WLS.  Even though I needed the surgery, she did not push on me.  But, when I decided I needed the surgery, there was Yvonne, being my angel. 
Yvonne is probably the most positive person I know.  Sometimes almost to the level of sickening. (LOL).  No matter what you say negative, she can turn it into a positive.  If you see the bad in a situation, she will find the good.

I have gotten to know more of Yvonne through the Texas Message Board and through RYDobesity.com.  And through the Bariatric Girl TV shows.  This woman is the true picture of "Paying it forward".  And I hope every one of you does the same.  Remember where you were.  Someone else is there and starting their journey to where you are now.  Be their Yvonne.

George, you're a sweetie.  And something people may not know about your life is that I don't think you are capable of telling an untruth.  The miracle of the surgery not only changed your life so much but to think that it got your wife out of a wheelchair is humbling to me.  What a great story and to think that last year we put together an event where I showed before and after pictures of people attending and THREE of them got out of their wheelchairs because of the surgery.  I'll post that video on the next post after this

I originally joined the TMB in June 2006, just prior to my wife's surgery.  I got very active when I decided to have the WLS myself.  I reached my goal in 6 months and have stayed there for 13 months now.  The best thing I have ever done for myself.
