No bowling yesterday as it was sunny and beautiful. We went to the Beach Club instead.
I called Social Security to make sure the timing was set properly and find out the amount that I will be changing to after my 70th birthday. I have been receiving survivorship benefits until now so my own SS benefits could mature. I am getting a $20K annual raise! And I didn't get put on hold at all - another miracle these days.
Also used ChatGPT to create a packing list for our trip to BVI in 2 weeks. It did a pretty nice job.
I made double the recipe for WW mushroom bolognese last night. So good and I will freeze half of it. Since I hate cooking I love something like that that generates future meals.
Today will likely not be so productive. DH plays golf so I will run him there, then go to water aerobics, followed by Justice walking. Laundry is on the agenda, then we have our last 3 games of the bocce season at 3:00. Somewhat busy day but then tomorrow has nothing at all on the agenda (other than Justice walking) because there is no ladies golf this week due to a Men's Invitational Tournament.
Worried about younger DD who is having some female problems. She had a biopsy last week but they didn't get enough tissue so she has to have a repeat this Thursday. Nerve-wracking at best but this is also the 20th anniversary of the last few weeks of eldest DD's life so both DD and I have that in our head too.
I hope you all have a winsome Wednesday!

Great picture - The shark does look serious about the whole thing!

I have to have To-Do lists written unless they only have a handful of items. I need written shopping lists for everything. By written, I mean on my phone.
You know that cardinals mean someone who has died is visiting you?

So I assume the bailiff calling your name meant you got to leave early? I used to hate being called for jury duty because I ended up sitting there for a day doing nothing and never getting on an actual jury (unlike teachers, lawyers didn't like insurance people). Last time I was summoned here in Florida I couldn't do it because I was out of state so had to defer. When the deferred date came close they cancelled my need to go. I won't have to do it in the future because after age 70 you are not required to serve.

Good luck with the foot (and that pesky 1/2 pound)!

Are you also a fan of the Costco Chicken Pot Pie? I was tempted to pick one up the other day, but it's awful big ... On the other hand if its yummy I could freeze part of it.
When I was called for jury duty I asked to be dismissed because it would be a hardship for my students. The judge later told me he did ask the lawyers to scratch me, but they didn't want to. Apparently they like having teachers on juries. Not gonna lie, I also enjoyed the 7 days on the jury vs. work. No responsibilities other than to pay attention. (I took lots of notes). Got to have an actual lunch hour. Had time to read while in recess. Did not arrive home exhausted.
Someone on our jury actually fell asleep during the actual trial. They were dismissed.
Greetings all
Amazingly sunny day and the bay is smooth as glass. Nice. Started with Scrabble. Got killed by the Shark but won the other two. Hurried back home because I was hungry and did not feel like eating a burger. Cold steak at home instead. DH had an early medical appointment and is now out walking the dogs. Yay I control the tv.
Jury duty Peps - good of you to go. Hope you get a good case and not just some crappy car wreck. Most likely criminal. Wake up the snorer.
Bowling Liz! How quaint! Have not done that in 40 years. Now I am curious as to how they have changed. I remember those old overhead projector things they had for scoring.
Chicken soup Paula. Perfect. Stay warm.
DH scored a chicken pot pie from the good deli so dinner is set. We watched the rest of Man on the Inside last night. It is good. We will be browsing for new tv shows tonight.
CC you have a list so you are ahead of me. I need to make one. Then not lose it.
I feel a nap coming on. Better start some laundry first.

130.5 (again). Up, down, up down. Still not at goal. I won't really call it until I'm solidly there for at least a week!
I upped the treadmill back to 3.4 mph with 2% and 4% intervals. Felt good! Otherwise it has been a boring day at home, laundry, dishes, cleaning our master bath. More cleaning should be done tomorrow if not too much work is done on my toe.
Chicken noodle soup for dinner. I had leftover turkey bowl for lunch. DC1 returned back to work today so finally a day without them camped out on my couch!
