It is quite a problem at school. This morning there is a freshly baked chocolate bundt cake not only staring me in the face, but the aroma is pretty amazing, too! Right beside the bundt cake is a pumpkin filled and iced Kringle (a Wisconsin staple!) for the taking!

The food will be plentiful today. Next week the holiday treats will start in full swing.

Good thing is I haven't eaten any candy this week! Whoo hoo!

Weight 119.4.

Happy Halloween though it seems like a non-day to me. Hopefully it will be fun for you folks celebrating it one way or another though. I hope Diane S and DH have as successful a party as always. I saw on FB that BB had her annual party - their costumes are always amazing.

I was ravenous last night and craving sweets. What I call the hungry horrors which I haven't had since I went on Tirzepatide. I didn't like it. I actually dreamed of getting donuts. I apparently was craving one of those apple filled ones with cinnamon and sugar on the outside. Luckily that craving has subsided this morning and I take my injection in a bit.

Any suggestions on what to give as a gift for a woman turning 60 who we are friendly with but don't know super well? We are going to her birthday party on Saturday.

Nothing on the agenda today other than giving our downstairs neighbors a ride to pick up a rental car this morning. Probably a beach day. My shoulder is slightly stiff from water aerobics which is potentially a good sign that it is getting some work.

Have a terrifyingly tricky Thursday!

Yes on blocking the ads. Here in Florida the TV stations are from Palm Beach county so we get their ads plus the ones from Treasure Coast county (our county). We've decided that the 70 year old running for sheriff in Pam Coast needs to retire.

Is Eating season mostly a problem at school because people bring treats in? I don't find it any bigger a problem as a retiree though I did in the office years ago. There are the same number of dinners out tempting me but no more stuff in the house than usual. If it is at school, this is the last year of that!

Absolutely! Mine was stage 1, if I had skipped my mammogram, another years growth, it would have been survivable, but the treatment would have been much more difficult. My SIL had a much more aggressive tumor found at her annual screening. Another year, and she wouldn't have survived. As it was she had a double mastectomy , chemo, radiation, and infusions for immunotherapy.

Also colonoscopies. Get them. I've had 5 polyps removed over several procedures. I like my chances much better without them.

I haven't done Mexican for a while. It may be time!

Congrats on a clear mammo. So many women seem to get breast cancer these days. Feels like more than 50% of my closest family/friends. An excellent reason to be scanned regularly.

Weight the same! I'm hungry. Shot day is tomorrow and the reduced dose I took has done wore off! Tomorrow will be the first day with the new compounding pharmacy - Designer Drugs.

Mammogram done today and then I visited my old coworkers just down the hall. By the time I was done visiting, I already had my Mammogram results in the electronic MyChart. All is good in boobland!

Making Mexican food tonight. The fam has their choice of chicken or beef soft shell tacos or tostadas. I prefer the crunch of the tostada! I also made pumpkin bars today. I have not baked much since June either. Unfortunately, tis the season!

If you vote early, don't you think there should be some kind of blocker so you don't have to endure election ads? Because Western Wisconsin is in the viewing area of Twin Cities TV stations, we get their ads too.

Core strength. I hate those types of exercise! I need A stronger core too. One PT directed me to periodically tighten my stomach muscles while walking, and especially going down stairs. It can really help stabilize you while descending. Speaking of descending, I read an article that talked about falls on stairs being caused by progressive bifocals! They crunched data on falls, and people who wear progressive lenses have an elevated risk. If you're walking like you should, with your head up, you could be looking at the stairs through the lower part of your progressives, and that distorts the depth perception. Another thing to watch out for.

It was 82 yesterday, right now it is 50 and drizzly. Even colder tomorrow, possible rain/snow mix. Poor trick or treaters, they came so close to not having to wear their heavy coats over their costumes.

For school, I bought mostly sugar based candy like gummy bears, twizzlers etc, which are easier to resist, but DH bought the good stuff. Sure hope the weather doesn't keep the trick or treaters away. But like Peps noted, leftover candy goes fast at schools.
