Coolish and windy here too, like in Wisconsin. The big storms didn't materialize in my town, but about 40 miles south there was wind damage. The sun is out today, but the wind is too brisk to enjoy it.
I so enjoyed the musical Beautiful. Hope it was a hit with you also Liz. Carole King has a huge catalog of music.
CC, well I'll give your friend some credit for apologizing, but I still think she's someone a little off kilter. It's kind of you to hear her out.
We had a department happy hour today. After all the upheaval last year with the admins from hell, we lost a few longtime teachers. Some of us oldies who stayed get together periodically with the oldies who left. Always a good time. Several of us are taking Wegovy. Lots of soup orders :)

Cool and windy. Tried to take a walk with DH but we only made it around the block, just too chilly with the wind.
Started my Bible study prep for Thursday but still have more to do. Took Bella for her annual Vet check today. Grocery shopping done for our Dos de Mayo gathering we are having on Friday. Will hit my computer soon for more Etsy tweaking. DH has 6 days of work left!
Have a nice last day with DSD Liz! Sure looks you showed her a nice time!
Hope you got the furniture coverings on in time CC and I'm glad your neighbor offered up an apology. I hope you two can work it out!

Enjoy your day, Liz! Sounds like a nice one.
Thunderstorms are rolling around us, but none have rained yet. I'm playing chicken with the rain as I haven't put the covers on my new furniture. The weather app says no rain expected, but hard to imagine with the clouds out there! I probably ought to suck it up and do it. Better safe than sorry.
My neighbor out of the blue texted an apology on Saturday. I started writing a long reply, but realized it was an airing of grievances so I erased it and texted back that it meant a lot to me and I would like to talk. No response to that for a few days, but this morning I got a "good morning I'm walking past your house" text. I wasn't up yet, but said good morning back later. We really do need to talk though. We need new ground rules for conflict if we're to still be friends.
Okay, now it's getting dark. With 13 covers, I need to get cracking.
Take care everyone!

DS is on his way to Hawaii to work at a conference. He has never been there so is staying a few extra days to sightsee. Feeling a little jealous LOL.
Last night's dinner out with DSD at a restaurant on the water downtown was great. Beautiful view and sound of the water, plus the food was wonderful as was the service. We shared scallops and some pasta. Super tasty.
Today's plan is to take a boat out for a few hours. It be the last time from the boat club as we have given our 2 months notice to quit already. We haven't even used one since the fall since it has been too windy here.
Tonight we are out for an early meal, then we go to see Beautiful at the local theatre. Everyone has been raving about it. We were able to trade our subscription tickets so we could get 3 seats together. Originally DSD was hoping to see a long-time friend who was responsible for the lighting for the show but she has already moved onto her next show. Tomorrow DSD goes home in the late afternoon.
Time to get Justice walked as DH wants to fit in gym time before we go out in the boat. Have a toothy Tuesday!
I meant to ask: Is Orderly still providing Tirzepatide? Henry Meds stopped entirely (doesn't affect me right now as I have been working off a bulk order).

Good question on protein bars. I think they have protein powder in them and protein powder is considered highly processed. So protein drinks would also be in that category. As DD said, steak (eggs and fish too?) is probably the way to go to get unprocessed protein.
Dolphin shows are really cool. They are more frequent (or maybe more noticeable) this time of year when the water is calmer.

I googled the reading of fatty breasts on a mammogram and AI said: "Having fatty breasts on a mammogram is generally considered positive. It makes it easier to detect potential cancerous or other abnormal growths." However, "only about 10% of women have breasts that are almost entirely fatty. The other categories of breast density, such as scattered density, heterogeneously dense, and extremely dense, are more common". Interesting!
We saw the aftermath of the tornadoes in the Fall here. Metal buildings all twisted up, parts of homes missing, trees down. Scary!

LOL - having an itinerary is DH's influence but it does get more stuff done!

Reminds me of a conversation with a friend who was a food scientist at Pillsbury. DH: You need to come up with a low carb, high protein snack that tastes good. Friend: It already exists, it's steak.
Greetings all
Sunny and windy here. DH could not wait to watch the last couple of episodes of Dexter so we watched them this morning. Well fine. That's done. Got payroll and went to the studio and glazed stuff. I had lots of new things from the kiln. Also got handed some dumb contract to review. More busywork.
A dolphin show Liz. How fun. Hope you get those often. Have fun with DSD.
Tornados DD! You have seem 2 more than I have. Lived in Nebraska for 50 years and never saw one. But that does not mean they don't exist!! Seems kind of early for them but the world is changing. Tornados used to only come in the summer. Congrats on 2 good Wegovy years. Glad the play was good. Your city has so much good art!
So I did my walk at the gym. More Prince. Soon I will get sick of it and move on. Not yet.
Paula enjoy dinner out. Nice that there is a healthy option or two. Used to be steak houses were nothing but cow and potatoes. make me think I should make an effort to cook more seafood.
So are there any protein bars that are not a highly processed food? Asking for a friend...

Dolphin watching could easily be added to my bird watching routine. How cool!
And here's to all the gals with mostly fat boobs! Um, I thought that was always the standard? I never thought they had any muscle or other structure.
Well I guess I shouldn't have poo pooed the severe weather reports. Its now in the low 70s, and humid air has flowed into the area from down south. The winds are fierce, so something could be brewing indeed.
The kids were all worked up, reading me weather reports from their phones all day. Their understanding of how these storm systems work was sometimes comical. I had one young lady tell me with utmost sincerity, we can't get tornados here. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but, ...
I have been witness to 2 tornados. One when I was in grade school, and I didn't understand exactly what I was watching, but I could see where it was on the ground and the debris flying until my parents grabbed me from my swing set and pulled me in the house. Another time I was in a duplex in Minneapolis during college. The tornado went through the backyard and took the top story off the building across the street. Luckily, our building was unscathed, but it was terrifying for about 2 minutes.
The play we saw last night was a fun romp with a serious edge. It was about African American families in the South in 1964. One family was rich, and preparing their daughter for her debut. The other was involved in the Civil Rights movement. A good reminder that even in Jim Crow era, their were black families that had prominent roles in the social life of their community.
I think I am now 2 years on Wegovy. Besides Weight loss, it seems they are learning more and more about other positive ways it affects health. Like you Liz, my DD has really benefited from the anti inflammation bonus.
