You'll never find me making Jello! Flavored, congealed boiled hooves...

The best!! My dad's side is from Cincinnati, home of Graeters. My dad likes Raspberry Chocolate Chip, but Claudia and my favorite is their peppermint stick available only at Christmas. Heaven, filled with melty peppermint stick chunks.
I've been to Baraboo and ditto the recommendation. Cool place. Seem to
remember the town being very walkable with lots of shops (artisan and vintage stuff and circus themed art and memorabilia. Open door and come on in kind of places.
Greetings all
It was foggy this morning but sunny now. A stiff wind- I could really feel it on the highway even though my electric car is bottom heavy. I went to the studio for awhile and made a few things. One of our staff has ideas for redoing the front of our building which has shelves and shelves of pottery for sale. It does kind of look like a giant thrift store and could be improved. A perennial issue is finding price tags that don't fade or fall off since the stuff sits outside all the time. Guess I will consult the facebook studio owners page for ideas.
Lunch today is some cold roast beef from the deli. It's particularly tender this time and much appreciated. Dinner will be deli enchiladas .
Yep. the bus leaves at 9. Or the train. No one ever says "plane". My mom used to always say "the maid quit:. And my dad used to say "things are tough all over" in response to whining.
Yay Peps you get to stay in Yellowstone!! My advice to you is to allow plenty of time there because it is huge and wondrous and takes lots of time to see all the good stuff. My favorite is the paint pots. Probably too far out of the way but the Badlands in south Dakota are awesome. Ditto the Flaming Gorge in western Wyoming near Rock Springs.
CC chicken salad sounds good. And yay on you for not bringing a Jello!
DD porch swing! How wonderful. I remember one my grandparents had and thinking it was no good as a swing because it could not go very high. Now we all get it. A joy.
Congrats on the fast house sale Liz. A big step for you but important.

I have never visited the Laura Ingalls Wider sights. A domestic saint makes no miracles. People speak highly of the one in Minnesota though ( Walnut Grove?) Austin Minnesota has the Spam Museum (Hormel headquarters). Probably not dog friendly. Southern Minnesota by the Mississippi River is very picturesque, but its very flat and Iowa like once you move away from the riverbluffs. Might be too far North from your route, but Baraboo Wisconsin has a Circus Museum (Ringling Brothers Origin) that is very cool. Don't know if outside exhibits allow dog visitors.
Here is a cool State Park close to the WI/MN border. I have not been there for 30 or so years but remember it being so beautiful with great hiking. Not sure if you actually camp in your camper, but is so, they have a camp ground!

Me too! Love ice cream! Have you ever had Graeters brand? To die for. Their toffee chip is my favorite!
Scale was down a few more tenths today, so I have a new digit in the ones place! Yay!
Liz, you gotta cut back on the meds. I worry about your lack of eating. There is no way your body is not cannibalizing muscle tissue to function on as little as you are eating. It's going to mess big time with your metabolism. You don't want to end up gaining weight due to metabolic slow down.
Late last night was spent solidifying and confirming reservations for the road trip. Too many different hotels to track over such a short period! I did make the sad decision to skip Yellowstone on my way home. I will have to save that "bucket list" item for a different trip. Hotels were too expensive for a one night stay. I was able to find great multi night deals, though.... Ha... my brother just texted me suggesting different methods of "hoteling" for Yellowstone. Maybe I will change my mind. We shall see.
UPDATE: Just booked a room for Molly and Me in Yellowstone! My brother has better Google skills than I! I will be staying in the park itself. Yipee... One more item off the bucket list. Now, have to cancel my reservation in Coalville, UT.
I still have an open night between Wisconsin and North Dakota shows. I was thinking about going to Pepin, Wisconsin to visit the Laura Ingalls Wilder museum. Minnesota Diane, is there anything that is a must see in MN that I can do with a dog in tow? There is a Judy Garland museum in Grand Rapids, MN, but that seems a bit out of the way. Maybe I will Google "Prairie Experiences in MN". That sounds dog friendly!
I am presenting at a professional dog groomer organization today. A bit intimidating in a way because I am not a "pro", but what I do is highly specialized. So few people know the technique. It's estimated that there are fewer than 1000 people world wide at my level of "expertise". That's how damn specialized it has become. There are many, many thousands who can pull hair and roughly trim a terrier, but very few who can put a competitive trim on a dog.
Superfluous Sunday to one and all!
