All these years living in warm weather states and no convertible? Well it is high time for you to have one! Can't wait to see some pics of you in the fun car!

Hey all! Finish up my last few days with my folks here. They go home Saturday. I bought a second car! Totally not necessary, but it was uncomfortable being trapped without a car when my dad was in the hospital and I thought, what the heck, why not have a second fun car? It's my first convertible and my first lease. It should be delivered late this week or next (they traded with another dealership).

This morning I had a call with the HOA board as our exit gate is failing and partially needs to be rebuilt. Later, I get my new doggie totem and then we are going to a patron's event for the Sedona Art Center at a local private golf club my folks have really wanted to see inside of.

We've finished 2 seasons of Bosch. It's really good if you aren't as behind the times as we are and enjoy cop shows.

I think that's all for me. Take care! Glad you got medded up, DD!

My activities are generally short with breaks in between. Not like working 7-8 hours, then tacking on several activities. Wait until you are retired!

Hola amigas!

211.8... could it be a little break through??? Gotta keep on it!

DD, so glad you are on the meds and on the mend! Diane S. believe me, the surgery tomorrow is a piece of cake. I was amazed by how easy it was. In fact, I can't wait until summer when I get my left eye done! This one is fast growing and my vision is getting progressively more blurry! YUCKO!

Ann, I wondered about the tariff business on your items, too. Will be interesting to see. Me, I'm still waiting for the price of gas to drop. It's done nothing but go up in CA since Jan. 20. Also, grocery prices have gone up here, yet again. I am not a doomer and gloomer, but I am beginner to wonder if some of my observations about the poli-social climate in the US are beginning to take a toll on my psyche.

I had a really, really, really disturbing dream cycle last night. So much so it disrupted my sleep for at least two hours. I remember waking up from the initial part of the dream around 4:30 AM and I was still "suffering" the on going ramifications of the dream at 6:30 AM when the alarm went off. General gist of the dream was betrayal by BFF. So huge feelings of loss and violation... I do so hate when the mind mucks with us in our sleep to such an extent. Just awful!

Liz, I always think your life sounds busy, but I guess it's no more so than mine. I teach all day today, then will go cut my dad's hair and have a visit, hit the gym on the way home, get home make dinner, feed dogs and then work on Buster before settling down to watch TV tonight. I have 3 client dogs booked for the weekend... So I don't know why your schedule seems so busy to me.

I've already managed 67 grams of protein today. Whoo hooo....

Well, lunch is just about over, so it's time for me to get ready for an afternoon of 2nd grade music!

So today you had a good excuse to avoid the gift shops!

I can see progress today. I've taken 3 of the 6 prednisone tablets for the day, and those always give me a bit of euphoria the first day. None the less, we cancelled all activities today for me. I sent DH out sight seeing which will also involve him going to all the silly t shirt souvenirs shops. Ever since we started traveling together over 40 years ago, he cannot resist a gift shop. At first I thought it was because he was never allowed to buy things like that when he was young, and eventually he would outgrow it. But no. I would rather stick needles in my eyes then enter most of those shops, so I usually find a nice scenic people watching spot and grab a coffee and let him have at it. He cannot leave a vacation spot without a shot glass. He now has hundreds. I rotate them in and out of the bathroom to use to take my medication. He's told the kids to put them out at his funeral, and invite everyone to take one as they're leaving.

I called for a late check out. The best they could do is 11am instead of 10am. Better than nothing.

I actually have not done this one in forever but it is true that the hardness varies day by day. I always just told my patient's to listen to their bodies, it will let you know what to do!

LOL! I asked the IKEA consultant, "So is there a chance that any potential Trump tariffs will raise the prices of the out-of-stock pieces that I can't order for another 6 weeks when they're (hopefully) back in stock?"

The consultant didn't say a word, but just slowly lowered her entire upper body and head onto her desk as if she were too exhausted to contemplate what that might mean for IKEA, herself, me, etc. And then she raised her head and raised her hands to the heavens as if seeking clarification from God. And we both laughed.

In the land of probable facts, here's what IKEA's website says: "The five countries that supply the majority of products and services to IKEA are China, Poland, Italy, Germany and Sweden."

In other words, who the hell knows what's going to happen next? Not me. Not her. Probably not anybody until it happens.
