216.9 this morning. This weight marks a loss of 60 pounds since beginning the GLP1 meds! A great way to start the Thanksgiving weekend.
I LOVED Diane's reweigh story this morning. I would have done EXACTLY the same thing!
Ann, doing the kitchen, too? I know it's a chore, but LUCKY YOU!
CC, banquet pics????? I got my first filling at 13. The next one in my 40s. What my problem is periodontal disease. I inherited crappy gums from both sides which I think I only worsened because I smoked. So though I have relatively healthy gums now, the recession is severe so lots of root surface is exposed which causes problems. I'm a daily flosser and use prescription toothpaste to keep my oral health in check. Ron is like you and your dad.
Liz, HALF A CORN DOG??? WTF? Girl, you need to eat more. That's not even enough for a toddler! You're going to lose too much muscle if you keep eating like that! Though I know that some days you just don't have an appetite with the meds. The muscle loss is my concern about the meds when I read how little some of you ladies on the meds are eating. It really is worrisome to me. Losing muscle mass for a post menopausal woman in NO BUENO. Have you considered dropping the dose more or getting off the meds so you can eat more protein? I don't want any of us to have "Ozempic Face"! It's a real thing and not so pretty! LOL!
After ranting about eating too little I admit that I am lucky that my metabolism works relatively well. It took several years to get it back in shape after the decades of yoyo-ing starvation and deprivation dieting followed by fast gains followed by VSG, but it is a blessing! I am able to lose weight eating roughly 1800-2200 calories a day. I maintain well at 2500 a day, though I'm sure it will be a lower calorie level to maintain my goal weight.
Naturally I left my grocery shopping until today. It must be the glutton for punishment in me. In addition to grocery shopping, I have a few bills to get paid, a post office run, grocery shopping, dog trimming and bathing and workout on the books. Better get my butt in gear!
Too funny, too true, and oh so telling about how we think! And yes, I would have done the exact same thing!

I got up, peed, weighed, started getting ready for a quick shower. Brr, very cold in the house, put on my robe and went downstairs to turn up the thermostat. Came back upstairs, and discovered I needed to poop. I had not eaten or drank, not showered yet and soaked my hair, so I did what any sane, thinking person would do, and weighed myself again. I paused for a moment to admire the lower number, and then got on with the day. Some days, things just work out for the best. :)

With no bladder or prostate and down to one dodgy kidney, my dad spends a lot of time in urology departments. He always says despite his age and missing parts, he's still the healthiest guy in there by a mile!
I think the weather people like to make stories bigger than the often are so they get more screen time. It looks like Massachusetts will mainly have rain.

LOL - My eldest DD had to see a urologist in her last year because she had a surgery which required their skills. The waiting room would be all older men and us.

Afterwards they must have joined us in viewing the movie Conclave, as there was not a person under 60 in the theater. Hello my people!
Your first corn dog?!!!! I hope it was a decent one, as some are much better than others, says the lady who has tried so very many. They're one of my favorite junk foods.
We stayed at the Royal Pacific Hotel years ago during the great recession, when they were practically giving away the rooms ~ top drawer vacation, we loved it. Years later, when my kids were in college, we ended up in Cabana Bay at Christmas (long story, my whole family was supposed to go, but they all cancelled). Still one of my very favorite Christmases. I woke up before everyone else and instead of running around trying to orchestrate the celebration, I drank coffee by the pool under a palm tree. Must do that again some day.
Slept in this morning, and it feels great. Its time to get going on a few things. DS and his girlfriend arrive around 9pm this evening. DD isn't here until tomorrow morning at 8am. She leaves Boston in the wee small hours of the morning, hopefully before any of the big weather they're talking about on the east coast.
DF is doing bloodwork at his urologist's this morning while I sit in the car. Funny observation: I have never seen so many old men getting in and out of cars and going through the same door.
