Interesting that we both had the hungry horrors the night before our injections. Must be that when you are just at a maintenance level on that dose it doesn't always hold out for the entire week.

Cold and wet is the worst! Much worse than cold and snowy.

Quick iPad checking. Great Halloween on our street. We had over 500 kids by the time we shut down at 8::30. The kids were all so cute and polite - even the big kids. It was all fun. Dh and his friend did most of the candy distribution so the rest of us could eat, drink and be merry. We had way too much food so I sent it home. Still loads of cold cuts for days. Being sick plus recent hand surgery caused a few issue but overall it was fine

more tomorrow,, trick or treat

I forgot to add, the high school jazz band was playing Thriller in the commons as kids entered the building today. Some of those kids can wail! These are the kinds of things I'll miss about teaching. :)

The weather is atrocious here. Rain, then snow, back to rain, with a cold biting wind. It stings even more as it was 82 on Tuesday. I feel sorry for the kiddos who were looking forward to showing off their costumes. If they venture out they'll be wearing winter coats, hats, and mittens. When I got in the car to drive home, I was sorry I didn't have gloves. I've heard of the wonders of heated steering wheels, which I don't have. Although after 4 years with this car, I am still grateful and delighted by the heated seats. Best thing ever!

I handed out candy to my students, and may have nibbled some myself. How do we fool ourselves that little fun sized pieces don't really count or add up to much? When I got home, I drank a big glass of Fair life milk, because I was feeling a little sugar woozy.

I didn't want to weigh myself this morning, a sure sign I'm not happy with my food choices. I will weigh myself tomorrow, regardless.

Another co worker is starting Wegovy. Our club is growing. Or perhaps shrinking :)

I am decked out as Tweedle Dum or Tweedle Dee... take your pick. However, I am dressed as the Tim Burton interpretation, not the Disney. I am FREEZING, but my colleague and I made quite the hit with our matching costumes. I am happy that the shirt and socks will become part of my regular wardrobe.

It was not the best food day yesterday for me, too, Liz! While I was not "hungry", I was ravenous. I wanted junky foods. I did end up eating an ample handful of caramel corn, part of a donut and a bite of spice bread at school. At home I had cashews, a few of Ron's corn chips, one of my "allowed" no sugar dark chocolate peanut butter cups (80 calories), and my regular small dish of ice cream. Believe me, in the past I have had far more indulgent days, but that was a lot more than I'm used to eating since being on tirzepatide.

Today is shot day. Whatever is left in the vial is what I will shoot up! I probably have a little more than my normal 63 unit dose. Next week I up it to 15 mg/75 units.

The Skittles arrived yesterday and do not even whisper to me. After the trick or treaters this evening we will go see my BFFs Halloween display and bring along something for dinner. I'm hoping to close down trick or treating by 7:30 or so. The littles are done by then and those are the ones I enjoy seeing! The older tweens and middle schoolers and occasional high school kids, not so much...

Thriller Thursday!

153.4. Feels like a solid drop to me, only time will tell!

Bible study this morning. Cold, wet rainy day! Boooooo! (The thumbs down kind, not the Halloween scary kind).

I think we will go out to eat at Olive Garden to avoid the trick or treaters. I?m always good for their minestrone soup and salad and it is one of DSDs favs.

This cold wet weather is making me super cold! I just want to slip under a blanket and hibernate! At least I have one warm dog lying beside me!

Liz, I would say a gift certificate for a local restaurant or coffee shop for a gift idea. If she imbibes, a bottle of wine is always nice too!

I think gifts without residual clutter are best. Something that gets used up or an experience. Maybe a bottle of champagne to celebrate?
