I think you feel about the heated air like how I feel about air conditioning. I try to hold off as long as I can, but then there comes a day when I must turn it on.

I use the heated steering wheel even when it's hot out if my fingers are particularly arthritic... feels amazing.

I've been thinking about you and hoping things were as well as could be expected. Glad to see you back!
Greetings all
Yep Halloween was epic last night. The rain held off and we had 533 kids. Our street is heavily decorated and some neighbors put up booths in the driveways for treats and who knows what else. Kids of all ages including 6 foot ones but they were all very well behaved. Toddlers brought to the door by parents. Lots of prom queens and ghouls. It was all fun. But I am sure tired out. So much prep. When I went to pick up the deli trays they had never heard of my order so I had to wait for them to make it all up. Put us behind. Guests showed up with charcuterie so we had way too much food. The dessert queen brought fabulous cookies. DH and his buddy did most of the candy distribution and they are sort of a smothers brothers comedy act. i think everyone had fun but DH and I were pretty worn out. We have excess candy so I will take it to the studio or gallery or something. The candy really does not call to me anymore but the cookies...I only ate one and sent the rest away.
Guess we will be eating cold cuts for the next few days. This deli does really good quality stuff so it's all good.
Liz I am with you - I like color. But I am glad your new neighbors are nice and you are getting acquainted.
Lizanne good to hear from you. Check in when you can.
Heated floors CC! How wonderful. Great feature.
And yeah DD, a heated steering wheel rocks especially when you have sore hands. Use it all the time.
Peps the Tweedle boys picture was great. Good costume idea.
Dessert queen invited me to a lunch group consisting of retired lawyers who show dogs! My tribe !!
So the rain is here today and probably for a few days. Ok by me. I plan to laze about and deal with the aftermath. And yes Liz, the dogs get banished to the back bedroom as the are so pesky. We let them out after our guests left so they got to see a few trick or treaters. Poppy was dumbfounded by them.
Time for cold cuts. Diane S
Welcome back! We have missed you too!

Hi, everyone...I'm back, at least sort of. The last couple of months have been rough...My DH's celebration of life is a week from tomorrow.
On the weight side, I'm still maintaining, down to a pretty low dose of semaglutide...
I don't know how much I'll be contributing, but I'm going to try to swing by everyday and read everything, as I have missed the group.
Thanks!!

I wrote up a post yesterday and forgot to post it. Not much to report here. I took my first namebrand shot again on Wednesday. I forgot how easy Eli Lilly makes it! First off it's a TINY amount injected even at 12.5 mg, and if I didn't see the change in the injector window, I wouldn't have even known anything happened. That's a big difference from injecting 125 ccs in two very full syringes.
No trick-or-treaters here. There aren't many kids in Sedona, and none in my neighborhood. In fact, most people in my 'hood are second third or fourth homeowners and are rarely here. Good thing I like quiet!
The air has taken on a chill here in the high desert. I turned on the in-floor heating and the fireplace last night, but I'm trying to hold off on the regular heat as long as I can. I hate the way it feels.
No official plans for today. My friend is coming from England in a week so I should work on tidying up my little piles and doing some deeper cleaning.
Take care everyone!
Weight 119. My cravings for junk subsided mostly after my early morning injection yesterday. My written check-in with HenryMeds was this morning. I hear they are still providing tirzepatide to existing patients but won't take on new ones for injectable tirzepatide. I suspect they will schedule an online visit since I moved to a different state between the last check-in and this one.
We had a drink with our newly back neighbors below us before dinner last night. Such really lovely people. They are in their mid 80's and found the transition between homes to be very discombobulating this time. They don't drive it anymore (from NY), but they found it difficult to arrive without their packed car which comes today. Like all of us they hate to ask for help though we did take them to get a rental car yesterday. We would have picked up some food ahead of time if they had told us what to get but they didn't want to do that. Maybe next year? Funny that my DH who professes not to care what his surroundings are made a comment that he liked our condo much more. They have exactly the same layout but all the walls, floors and cabinets are pure white. It makes it light but maybe a little antiseptic? Our kitchen cabinets are light grey, our floor is wood look tile, and our walls are painted in light colors (with white wainscoting in the living room/dining room).
I put a video up from wedding pictures on TT. I hope you enjoy it.
Today we have an HOA board meeting at 10, then at least a few errands. Tomorrow is pretty busy. Time to get out early for our walk before the meeting. Have a thrifty Thursday!

Im glad that your Halloween was a good one all around! Do you keep the dogs closed up in a room? I used to have to do that to answer the door for trick or treaters.

I love heated seats even in Florida - we didn't have them on the last car and I missed them, but we do on this one. Sometime around January they will be needed!
