Oh boy - I just can't take that kind of cold anymore. It wasn't quite that bad in Albany last month but it was close. The weather looks like it stays perfect for your Orlando stay. We have had such a beautiful month especially after such a rotten January. I'm hoping the new earmuffs and scarf I bought in early January can stay away until next January

So glad you enjoyed the sushi place! I may have to make chili for the household as I am craving it. I offered to make it for the superbowl party we are going to but the hostess wanted me to bring black bean salsa instead.

So true! My mother used to call herself a yankee - she saved every rubber band, twist tie, aluminum foil pieces not dirty, etc. (and so do I). Very handy to have that stuff sometimes...

It is absolutely!!!! I've always referred to that mindset as a New Englander, though. Having family from the south I've learned that pretty much anyone from north of Maryland is a Yankee! LOL!
No sh*t!

Peps, I'm certain you are achieving the rare status of simultaneous fat-loser and muscle-builder. Your gym exploits are beastly (and I mean that in the nicest possible way).

LOL re "fairly civilized looking people" vs. "ferals." I know several of those corners of the world. LOL!

Good catch! I was also surprised by all of Ocean's DS progeny. LOL!

Florida: basically in one week. We fly out of here at 8pm on Friday, February 14, and arrive around midnight and leave at 6pm on the 20th.
Off to Pub Night in a few minutes. Looking forward to music, but dreading going outside. It is 17 degrees with a 20 mile an hour wind. I've been in the house for 1.5 hours after trecking across the parking lot at work. While my face had regained feeling, my ears still hurt. Life where the weather makes your face hurt. Gotta love it.
I saw an ad for those trikes and thought genius! My Mom had a 3 wheel bike in Florida (aka an adult tricycle, it said so on the shipping box) and while it was fun and got me to the pool, you're not setting any speed records. And while I'd like to cruise about with the wind in my hair, I am hesitant to ride a 2 wheel bike for fear of falling and breaking a hip, because of my osteoporosis. But a 3 wheel much more stable, and with an electric assist ~ Zoom!!!
