Thalassic.... yet another new one for me.... of or relating to the sea.
I had an extremely intense training session yesterday evening. I was sure I would either be the same or slightly up on the scale this morning, but I was down another pound. So....
OFFICIALLY DOWN 40 POUNDS since starting the meds. Makes me quite happy.
1 pound to my next mini goal. I have to think about a next goal. All I can really think of at the moment is getting to under 200, but that's too far away still. Need something a little closer and easier to achieve.... I tend to make my weight goals about memorable photos or events in my life that for some reason or other have a weight attached to them.
I think I have gotten to the point of shelf life build up in my body. I don't seem to notice a wane in the med's effectiveness as shot day approaches. I've been pretty steady that past few weeks. Not to say I don't have "hungry" days, but I've always had "hungry" days. I think that's just a normal ebb and flow of appetite and satiety.
Did a Costco run last night. They had a huge stack of the Fairlife protein drinks I like so I bought two cases, which lasts me about a month. I was delighted to find it yesterday. The last few times I've been to Costco, it has not been in stock.
I'm off to Carmel-By-The-Sea for 3 days of shows. I'm leaving behind 100+ degree weather for forecasted highs of 63 and 64 degrees. HEAVEN! I'll need a sweater in the evenings! Whoo hoo!
I am thinking about getting a mini portable car fridge for my road trip to Wisconsin and North Dakota. I realized last night I have to take my meds with me. (I could just use a regular cooler I suppose, but that means buying ice along the way.) Does anyone have any experience or recommendations?
Another NSV: I couple of years ago I got a really good deal on some suits, but when they arrived they were a tad snug. Weight went up from there. Took them out of the closet and the suit coats fit beautifully. No alterations needed. YAY for closet shopping! Deciding what to do with the suits I bought last September - take in or donate? Hmmmm.....
Time to get moving!
"Tub faucet diverter" freaked me out so much I had to look it up. Thank God I don't have one.
What's strange is how fearless and effective I am in many of life's serious situations, but how weenie I am when faced with some of the home maintenance/repair situations y'all have described over the years.

I still have wine but way less. I used to crave sweets more when I had wine so the connection in our brains is apparently quite different LOL.

Welcome to Thursday. Today is injection day - good thing because I was really hungry yesterday. I ate about twice as much as I have been eating for a while at dinner. I weigh tomorrow- not expecting much change.
Today is somewhat lower key than most days over the last 2 weeks. The Epilepsy Foundation is picking up about 25 bags of clothes. We need to pack the car with stuff to go to DH's house which he will drop off after golf tomorrow. Possible other tasks are hanging the new screen door which I finished putting polyurethane on yesterday and straightening the garage which became the staging area for junk, donations and the like since I scoured it previously.
Eldest DD will be here in a couple of hours for a few days. She is working on putting the house she inherited from her Aunt on the market in the next couple of weeks. Very different prep there - her Aunt was a hoarder, not of junk but brand new items she never used. She was a QVC addict apparently. DD hired professional sorters to go through it all - they were amazed to find a twin bed in the spare bedroom hidden under all the stuff. In all likelihood whoever buys it will tear down the house and build a new one as it is in rough shape, but on the water. So a totally different market than for my home.
DH and I go off-Cape (how is that for a Cape Cod-ism?) in the late afternoon to meet his sisters for dinner.
Winding down on our days here prior to moving ourselves to DH's home while the house is on the market. Time to get the bags of clothing to the curb. Have a thalassic Thursday!

Greetings
late iPad check in. I had gallery duty and it was busy. Lots going on including lease renewal. Dog got pills today and we continue to feed upon the carcas of the Costco chicken. Did my walking at gallery and sold quite a bit. Our lease is up for renewal so I am on that. More tomorrow

Oh, I wish for the lack of sweets cravings! But I'm wondering, are you still drinking wine or the occasional ****tail? When I drank alcohol, I never ever craved sweets.
AMEN to that! I fry my eggs in real butter, eat beef, use mayo and use full fat greek yogurt. It's much more satisfying. To go low carb and low fat is to invite your body to set off alarms of EAT! If one does low fat, you have to be willing to go high carb. If you're going to go low carb, you have to be willing to go high fat. It's biology 101!
Everyone responds differently and we definitely build a tolerance over time. I wonder what it will be like in maintenance mode.

I definitely have an appetite, but get filled up much quicker. Though I had much less appetite in the beginning than I do lately. I have cravings like Peps for specific things, like hummus for instance. But cravings for sweets are almost non-existent.
