LONG day yesterday. DD's surgery was delayed by 4 hours so we were at the hospital from 10:30 to 6:30. But all went smoothly - more so than expected. I think we were afraid they would find some terrible fibroid that required a hysterectomy because of all the hemorrhaging but there wasn't much. No fibroid at all. They did remove tissue and it will be examined but the thoughts are that the IUD, which was missing, had run out of hormones and her body was trying to expel it (which it apparently did). Though the last blood test showed a hint of another possible hormone related cause for all the difficulties. When she sees her doctor next week hopefully she will get next steps. Thank goodness she has good doctors now.
So it was late and I was very tired getting back to the hotel. I had soup for dinner but chose a pastry while picking up the soup. Not a good idea. I didn't need it but ate it anyway and my insides were unhappy for a while. Lesson learned (I hope).
Today I may get out of my room somewhat early for a walk as my room wasn't cleaned yesterday because I left late. Not happy about that. Lunch with DD probably. I may go visit SIL this afternoon and come back mid-day tomorrow but need to mull that over. I think DD is going to feel pretty much back to normal today after a good night's sleep.
Have a thoughtful Thursday!

Hot tub on a cool day! Yes! (I don't like them when it is warm outside but definitely when it is not)

That was you yelling at a printer??? LOL
No experience with that type of dental cleaning though many people I know have had it including my DD in her 30's. Speaking of which I should get myself a dental appointment. It is getting down to 2 months until we go north for the summer.

Good news on your Mom. Good assisted living can be such a good environment at that stage of life. My MIL probably lived longer and happier because of the support.

I saw the puppies under your page (not TT). They are adorable! Are you getting one?
Nice job bypassing the donuts! I had a pastry last night and not only felt guilty but my intestines were definitely not thrilled either.

Hopefully Liz and her DD are back from the hospital and the biopsy will bring only good news.
The students exited the building at 2:40pm, and won't be bac****il April 7. Even though I have to work tomorrow and Friday, it's a whole nother vibe when just staff are there.
When I got home DH said the hot tub was 104, and did I want to join him? Yes I did. Feeling very relaxed right now, and happy to be warm all the way through.
It hits me when I'm setting up plans for next year as a department chair (I took it back after my friend was in a bad accident, he has enough on his plate recovering). I'll even say next year we'll... and then I laugh and say, well you all will... then they tease me about bragging.
That's good news about your Mom. I can't help thinking about how my Mom could have a more expansive life if she lived in assisted living. They won't budge though.
Yes, get the tech savvy person to do the printing. Someone once told me that younger people are technology natives and older folks like us are technology immigrants. It makes me feel good when I master some new skill because technology is not my first language!
Greetings all
It't a great sunny day and almost warm. But the wind is picking up and there may be storms later. Even so, there are buds and flowers and daffodils out and it is spring here.
So I am sitting here letting my hair dry before I go out. DH is at our new dentist for a crown. I go tomorrow for a deep cleaning of some sort. Not looking forward to it. In a bit I will head up to the gallery to take some art that I am supposed to take tomorrow but won't be able to do so at the appointed time. I need to get at the label printer to make little signs for the work. Liz you will probably hear me cursing in MA as I always struggle with that device. A nice person is on duty this afternoon and i may be able to get her to work the label maker for me. She is PC savvy; unlike me. Plus the computer mouse there is the size of a VW bug and is hard for me to use. Excuses!
Gosh Liz I would not blame you if you woke up thinking you were on a boat! Hoping all goes well for DD and her issues are solved.
Yay Peps on being below your mark! More will go soon. Even better is the countdown to freedom. Yay.
Speaking of countdown, our niece is having labor induced - maybe at this very minute! We have a family chat channel on Slack Chat so hoping nephew keeps us posted on all details. Miss Vivian is on the way.
Yeah Paula sometimes what happened 3 hours ago seems like ancient history. Means you have a busy fun life!
Last of the loose meat sandwiches will be served tonight. I wonder if I will be up for Costco after tomorrow's dental work? Maybe not.
