Last full day in Barcelona. Yesterday's bus riding was disappointing but we enjoyed walking around the Gothic quarter again last night. Definitely our favorite part of the city.

Today everything is closed until after lunch since it is Sunday, so we will have a leisurely brunch after a walk, then we have a tour at the Sagrada Familia at 1:30. If we still have energy we might try to tour the Cathedral of Barcelona afterwards. A possible walk this morning is to the Diving pool from the 92 Olympics.

Hopefully SIL has her procedure this morning and it makes her comfortable enough to fly home in 3-4 days (that is the recovery time in the hospital afterwards).

I had forgotten when I responded to DD yesterday that one of the things we had looked for in choosing our Medigap plans was coverage in foreign countries. It is not available on Advantage plans. The Medigap coverage has either coinsurance and/or a deductible and a lifetime cap, so in the future it might be wise for us to get travel insurance.

Have a satisfactory Sunday!

Congratulations on a great weekend for Buster! I would have had the caramel too.

So weird to be an entire 9 hours time difference from you (and 6 hours from the east coast of the US). Poland (tomorrow to Friday) will be the same time zone as here, then London (Friday to Tuesday day) will be 5 hours from the east coast.

Poor Tesla! So tough on them. Justice is like that with thundery rainstorms but fine with fireworks for some reason.

I did not. But will most likely buy the insurance for the next trip. We will get the medical insurance for Ron, no matter what. With his chronic kidney disease, it's important that he has the good insurance that covers pre existing conditions.

Tired, tired from a long day of showing. As Diane said, Buster was a star today, as he was yesterday. Yesterday he won the regular terrier group and then today the owner handled division best in show. Whoo hooo....

Was GREAT to see Diane S.!!!! And yes, the dog club hosted locally made ice cream in the most delicious waffle cones. Diane and I had caramel ice cream. My friend David had the cookies and cream. Deelish!

Buster is crashed on the bed and I am not far behind...

Sweet dreams to anyone still up (which I doubt). Though Liz might be just getting up. It's 6:30 am in Barthelona!

Greetings all

It is sunny and nice here. I just got home from the dog show and a fun afternoon with Peps and Buster. I got to watch him win the owner handled terrier group and then owner handled best in show. They sure make a sharp looking team. Nice competition. So now it is the regular groups and best in show. I decided to come home but it was fun. And THEY HAD FREE ICE CREAM from a local place and it was fabulous.

So it is not Barcelona but a big day out for me. Liz I sure hope you can get SIL home safely. Yeah the other should have masked up. I think Barcelona has a lot more Gaudi architecture besides the cathedral so you might check it out.

Tapas dinner Paula. Lovely. Happy 60 to all your class peeps. Sounds like a great time.

Good point about travel insurance DD. Something I used to never thing about but should. Keep up the relaxation.

So we went to friends for July 4 and cooked out. It was a good time. But it is also sad because there are many who are no longer with us. Just us remaining ancients. Still we had hot dogs and watermelon and the usual stuff and were home by 6. I gave Tesla some CBD oil but it did not work well and she was absolutely frantic. There were a lot of fireworks on the street. I finally crated her and covered it with a blanked. Sure hope that is all over.

So I will try to post some pictures of the svelte Peps and his wonder dog Buster. They really were rock stars today.

Diane S

I could eat a good minestrone soup as my main meal night after night.

I doubt she bought travel insurance (I didn't) but this is what I read: "Medigap plans C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, M, and N pay 80% of the billed charges for certain medically necessary emergency care outside the U.S. after you meet a $250 deductible for the year." She is on one of those medigap plans as am I. I have bought travel insurance in the past but didn't even think about it this time. I should think about it in the future as should everyone!!!
