Like Peps I am reveling in a 3 day weekend! When we return on Tuesday we have finals, so no regular teaching on Tuesday and Wednesday, just test administration. Thursday is a day to get grades done, and Friday is professional development. I'm probably going to need to use a sick day on Friday, just saying. I won't need to make lesson plans, won't inconvenience students (they do not like it when I have a sub) and I don't need the CEUs. I have a ton of paperwork to complete, so maybe I'll just work on it nice and cozy at home. (After sleeping in of course).

CC I love that just rained fragrance too. In fact, I usually take a whiff of my houseplants when I water them. It's usually the first thing I notice when we get to Florids. There's A nice strip of vegetation on the walk to the car rental in the Orlando Airport. I always look forward to it.

Liz does it seem like Florida is colder than normal these last few winters? I hesitated to plan our trip mid February, because the cold weather seems to be sticking around longer. My nephew and his family just arrived in Orlando. The house they rented was supposed to have a heated pool, and it does not. It has a pool, but no heat. (They are getting a refund on part of it). But even with a heated pool, seems like it will be too cold this week.

Paula, so sorry your Mom needs surgery! Both my parents are in their 80s. Surgery at that age is worrisome. Prayers for a good outcome.

We have tickets for a theater performance tonight, and then nothing else planned yet. Works for me!

Well, a no poop day, combined with a few too many drive by snacks and a good workout resulted in an upswing in weight.... 213.7 However, I'm still down a full pound from last Friday. Can't complain about that!

Took my shot last night. My body must be very used to this high dose now because I don't feel much different from one day to the next. I think Friday night is when my appetite starts to wane a bit after the shot. I realize I don't seem to get any of the waves of icky gut feeling from the med the way I did the first few months. What I get is that beautiful feeling of "oh, no... If you have another bite or two, you will regret it!" I think that's probably my favorite gift of this med!

I have made a commitment to double down on changing some eating habits - snacking, drive by snacking, and the amount of sweets. All of those habits must be reduced - not necessarily eliminated, but reined in. One of my co music teachers is doing Noom, so I suggested we be "school buddies". We can support each other in those hard to manage "free food" situations at school! She liked that idea.

Another early morning wake up today without being able to return to deep sleep. Just dozed from 5 to 6:30. Maddening.

I do not understand veterinarians today. Tail docking of puppies is a minor procedure and so many vets are "Uncomfortable" doing it. I'm getting calls from breeder friends asking me to dock their puppies' tails and remove dew claws. It's so hard to say no because I know what they are dealing with, but it's my understanding in this state I am only allowed to do my own puppies. I did take pity on one friend with a broken wrist who physically can not do it herself and will "help" her do her own puppies today.

My obsessive nature is beginning to rear it's head. I don't think it's in a bad way, but I am noticing that I am paying a lot of attention to the detail of my workouts - form, weight increments, balance of exercise, etc... I'm definitely not going through the motions. Things are PLANNED. If I do a chest day, it's followed by a full back day. Work on quads, hamstrings get worked next... Now, if I could just channel a little bit of that towards my garage....

Looking forward to the upcoming 3 day weekend! I purposely scheduled NOTHING on Monday! Whoo hoo!

Fab Friday, peeps!

Yay for the rain! Being a Californian, I understand the excitement over 0.03"! LOL

The pharmacy charges $50 more for each vial of extended expiration date tirzepatide.
I hemmed and hawed about the cost difference, but decided peace of mind was worth the cost. My goal is to be at goal weight by June or July. Fingers crossed. Then maybe switch to semaglutide???

It rained last night! A paltry 0.03", but beggars can't be choosers. The petrichor smell is amazing.

This morning, the HVAC guy is here installing my new gold-plated thermostats (not really, but ought to be for the cost). There are only 2 thermostats that work with my 2-stage heat pumps, so pickins were slim. Two of my 3 were dying so made sense to replace all three.

Kirby is sitting RIGHT next to him helping. Thankfully he likes dogs. Sneaky pic:

No other plans today. I weighed in at 184.8. Probably could work on cutting out treats and snacks!

Hope you all have a good day!

119 - feels good to have my weight settle back down, not that it was that high. Old tapes as Peps pointed out.

I stunk at golf yesterday though I had fun. I took the max at 8 of the 9 holes. BUT I got to practice getting out of the sand and actually did pretty well at that. And I was also hitting better on the fairway. So good practice at least and the 2 ladies I played with were great. Speaking of which I need to send them a thank you note.

SIL arrived without issue. She was very achy after the flight so we had some downtime for her with a heating pad (a crack in her ribs is very uncomfortable for her right now). I hope she slept well! We are driving to our old Florida town this afternoon. It is a 3 hour BORING drive past turf farms, cows and a prison. We are meeting up with a friend for dinner tonight. DH and Justice are having a guy's weekend LOL.

But first a long Justice walk since he hasn't had one since Saturday (and didn't want one in the cold up in Albany). Have a flourishing Friday!

Great to not feel pressure to find a new source for a while isn't it? Interesting that they charge more - did they use a different pharmacy? I actually paid less with my bulk order from HenryMeds.

I guess it is better to laugh about a lost finger than to cry about it!

Is the treadmill walking helping you with balance? I feel like I need to work on that as standing on one foot can be quite difficult these days.

Having that good weather is nice for Claudia and your Dad. It has been much windier and colder here in Florida so far this winter. I hope it flips around next month.
