Are you also a fan of the Costco Chicken Pot Pie? I was tempted to pick one up the other day, but it's awful big ... On the other hand if its yummy I could freeze part of it.

When I was called for jury duty I asked to be dismissed because it would be a hardship for my students. The judge later told me he did ask the lawyers to scratch me, but they didn't want to. Apparently they like having teachers on juries. Not gonna lie, I also enjoyed the 7 days on the jury vs. work. No responsibilities other than to pay attention. (I took lots of notes). Got to have an actual lunch hour. Had time to read while in recess. Did not arrive home exhausted.

Someone on our jury actually fell asleep during the actual trial. They were dismissed.

Greetings all

Amazingly sunny day and the bay is smooth as glass. Nice. Started with Scrabble. Got killed by the Shark but won the other two. Hurried back home because I was hungry and did not feel like eating a burger. Cold steak at home instead. DH had an early medical appointment and is now out walking the dogs. Yay I control the tv.

Jury duty Peps - good of you to go. Hope you get a good case and not just some crappy car wreck. Most likely criminal. Wake up the snorer.

Bowling Liz! How quaint! Have not done that in 40 years. Now I am curious as to how they have changed. I remember those old overhead projector things they had for scoring.

Chicken soup Paula. Perfect. Stay warm.

DH scored a chicken pot pie from the good deli so dinner is set. We watched the rest of Man on the Inside last night. It is good. We will be browsing for new tv shows tonight.

CC you have a list so you are ahead of me. I need to make one. Then not lose it.

I feel a nap coming on. Better start some laundry first.

130.5 (again). Up, down, up down. Still not at goal. I won't really call it until I'm solidly there for at least a week!

I upped the treadmill back to 3.4 mph with 2% and 4% intervals. Felt good! Otherwise it has been a boring day at home, laundry, dishes, cleaning our master bath. More cleaning should be done tomorrow if not too much work is done on my toe.

Chicken noodle soup for dinner. I had leftover turkey bowl for lunch. DC1 returned back to work today so finally a day without them camped out on my couch!

212.3

Sitting in the jury room waiting for the judge to call us up to the courtroom. I generally don't love getting called, but honestly I don't love my Tuesday classes at one of the schools, so I figured what the hell.... Being a true short timer, I can admit that I prefer jury duty than going to work today. Ron thinks my thinking is awful, but I figure at least I'm being honest with myself. I also enjoyed that I got to sleep until 7:30 and lounge in bed until 8:00. The court house is a straight shot from home, opposite the commute traffic, and it took me only 18 minutes to get here and park. Tuesday morning commute traffic makes my usual commute 45 minutes for a 9 mile drive.

Joyful experience this morning walking into the courthouse. I saw my full body reflection in the mirrored doors walking up to the entrance. Damn! I'm not fat anymore! I have a bit of a belly, but I cut a decent silhouette. I felt like I looked good. PRICELESS!

I can not find the damn registration card for the RV. I packed it up and lord only knows where it is. I'll probably have to to AAA to get a copy/duplicate. At least the dealership will still take the rig from me today.

Broken record topic: I am having a dickens of a time with not eating sweets lately. I am engaging in sabotage behaviors. I find irritating because that means I have to look deeper at what the issue really is.

Someone has fallen asleep and is gently snoring in the jury room. I found him. LOL!

Hoping to get excused sooner rather than later - only because I want to get the RV in to the dealership and be done with it.

Bailiff is here calling role. And there's my name..... Off I go.... Buh bye!

I have such a long to do list! At least it's all written down now. I did check off a few things this morning - I filled the bird feeder, called my insurance company about the new car, and stocked the car with things like wet wipes, tissues, and a microfiber screen cloth. Only 30 or so things to go.

A cardinal stopped by the feeder this morning. So pretty!

Kirby needs a walk today (and every day).

I should go try to cross a few more things off. Have a great day all!
