Hope you enjoyed your early Thanksgiving! Sorry about your tough meeting. You are so empathetic, it would be hard not to absorb the desperation emanating from the parents...

I can see why homicide crossed your mind. How could the problem go on unfixed, for two years, after you brought it up multiple times? ARGH!

New valve in place under the sink. He also helped me change the filters on my water system (I couldn't get them unscrewed) and put a speaker cover back on one of the outdoor speakers that blew off. I could have done that, but it involved a ladder and working over my head, both of which I avoid whenever possible. Oh, and he caulked around my water filter things as water inevitably drips behind the wall when you unscrew them.

I'm sure I've mentioned how bad my cell coverage is at my house and that wifi calling hasn't helped. I couldn't take it anymore and looked into a landline, but I can't get one out here. The internet guy said I should have my a/v guy check the settings on the router. They control that, I can't see it. So though I'd mentioned it to him multiple times, I finally sent an email with everything I've tried that hasn't worked. This is the email I got back this morning: "Good morning Ceci. I just checked on your set up and it looks like I never turned on the setting in the router to enable WiFi calling, I apologize for this. It should be fixed and working now."

You guys, it's been TWO YEARS of phone torture!! Calls dropping or cutting out, people saying I sound like a pixelated robot. And he forgot to turn that on. I was stunned. I wrote back and said, "I don't know whether to murder you or hug you. I'm leaning toward murder..." He was apologetic l but I feel like some kind of pain and suffering remuneration is in order! TWO F$&#ING YEARS.

My bff and our old boss and her husband are coming here tomorrow for 2 days. I'm trying and failing to clean. I have to go do that. I'm so tired and am not up for visitors! I'm sure it will be fun.

Another visitor I had today was kind of fun. This javalina and his "squadron" (good collective noun) dropped by for a snack tonight:

Okay, off to clean and stop procrastinating. Take care friends!

Greetings all

The bomb cyclone continues though it is hardly that for us. Just a good rain and not even that hard. Trees falling are the worst hazard followed by bad drivers. Who thinks it is a good idea to drive faster when it's raining? Lots of people around here seem tho think so. Like they will get less wet.

So I stopped at the studio and made a few things. Gotta meet there tomorrow to determine staff bonuses. In the past our director just recommended them by a gut feeling method but new people involved in the process this year.

Hmmm golf etiquette. Golf clap? Being quiet makes sense. Who hits first? Enjoy the lesson Liz.

Paula those cheese buttons sound good. A comfort item indeed. Kind of sounds like pierogis. Hope it works. A good thing on a snowy evening.

DD sorry you had a rough day. Wine is indeed in order. Stop and get some on the way to your dinner.

Does anyone else think it's weird that if a guest brings a bottle of wine which does not get opened, the guest just takes it back? Weird to me.

Peps you are the ********l that effort is so paying off for you. Yay you.

We watched a movie last night called "Asteroid City". I do not recommend it One of those weird movies that makes you feel like a fool for having watched it. One that is trying way too hard to be a cult film and failed. I will welcome Ancient Aliens over that mess.

Stopped at the gym and did my walking. Rainy day crowd.

One more day of rain here and then a break. Sun is much needed.

Hamburgers tonight. Ho hum. Diane S

Oh boy. One of those painful meetings today where parents are desperate for solutions that aren't readily available. My heart is squeezed and wrung out.

I'm home for a bit, then off to BIL's house for an early Thanksgiving. As I told my supervisor after the meeting, I hope there's copious amounts of wine.

The snow that fell yesterday is hanging around. It wasn't much more than a dusting, but it's staying. Low 30s now, 20s in the evening. The forecast is for even more cold in the coming week. Boo!

148.6. Today was split dose injection day. Like Liz, the jury is still out on if this will be more beneficial. I did order then next dose up (7.5) with plans to take less. I think I might even go down to 4.

No bible study today. Lots of cancellations due to snowy roads and busy lives so I made the executive decision to wait until after Thanksgiving to meet again. I think there might have only been one or two others besides me this morning.

Yes, I said snow. Cold, blustery day with about 2 inches of snow on the ground that is thankfully melting quickly. Got the most important rooms of the house cleaned. I really should do the downstairs finished areas too but think I might wait until early next week.

Thinking about making "cheese buttons" for my husband for dinner. It is a dish from his childhood that he has fond memories of and I got the recipe from his sister. It is essentially a dumpling stuffed with cottage cheese and I think onion. You boil them first and then fry. They don't sound too appetizing to me, but I'll try them once! The worst part is I have to make the dough for the dumplings (rolling out and cutting and everything). I don't think they have a dipping sauce but think they should. Perhaps I'll come up with something!
