Good luck on your travels tomorrow. Those early mornings on flight days are a bear.
I would be hesitant to go to Egypt right now too. Even for the countries we are visiting (Spain, Poland, England) we have been warned to not wear anything that screams USA.

In my quest to improve protein (and calcium) intake I made an iced coffee with 2 cups of Fair life milk, a shot of espresso and sugar free torani vanilla. 160 calories, and 26 grams of protein, so its comparable to protein shakes, but , for me, much tastier. It is more volume though, 16 ounces vs 11 ounces. I still prefer it.
The picture of your deck on Facebook looked very inviting. DH should probably just trust that you got this LOL. DH is the spatial person in our family. All my instincts tell me it won't work, but I need to remind myself that he is almost always right when it comes to these matters.
CC, thanks for the reminder about the lifetime pass for National Parks. We don't have immediate plans to visit any, but I'm hoping. It might be worth buying a pass now, as the prices could go up. In fact, I think they did not too long ago.
Yeah to wearing new summer dresses at last Paula!
Diane even though they're still small, are your sweet peas giving off fragrance yet? What about all those roses? One of my great aunts had a rose bush by the corner of her farmhouse and all these years later I remember that heavenly fragrance.
I can't wait too see the Lipizzaner pictures Peps! It's a marvelous trip, but this feels like the highlight. I love that you found an Orchestra on your walk. These moments of delightful serendipity, I think that's my favorite part of travel.
Speaking of travel, we see that Egypt was added to the travel ban. This gives us a big pause when thinking about traveling this fall. We would be entering and leaving through a connecting flight in Europe, but still, with an American passport. And then the escalating situation in Iran... October may not be the time to go.
Another hot day on tap. It was incredibly humid yesterday, but still tolerable in the shade. It was better in the evening, and I even weeded a flower bed. Right now it is warm and breezy on the porch, and I'm quite comfortable.
Off to Massachusetts tomorrow at the crack of dawn. I hope this retired lady can get up at 4:30 am!
123.9 for the 3rd day in a row. Guess my body likes this weight!
No DH walk for me today. It will be too hot once we get back from church. We will go to our friends place and try out the pool but I think it will be too hot for that as well. We will then go back to their place for some charcuterie that I put together and play some games! With the snacking, I don't think we will have much of a dinner. Perhaps a protein bar which is fine with me since don't feel like cooking anyway.
I get to wear my newest Tommy Bahama dress to church! Yay! They are so comfortable!
I bought a new dress off Amazon which looked really cute online but doesn't do much for me when I tried it on, so that one will be returned!
DC1's date went well last night. They stopped over when it was done to tell me all about it. Those beginning stages can be a lot of fun!
Tomorrow is going to be hot as well. I have a coffee date with a friend in the morning (might have to be an iced latte) and a teeth cleaning scheduled in the afternoon. I'm thinking Jimmy John's or the like for dinner! Still don't want to cook in the heat!
Have fun planting and beautifying your yard Liz.
Peps, enjoy your last few days of vacation. Good thing you are retired, you will need a vacation to rest up from your vacation!
Hopefully that cold won't get you down! I think tapering off on the tirzepatide will be better done at home where there aren't so many distractions/temptations. It seems from reading people's accounts and from my last meeting with a NP that figuring out the proper maintenance dose is via trial and error. Like Paula, if you find yourself too hungry at a lower dose, go back up a bit. I had tapered down to 2.5 mg per week prior to my last NP meeting and it was working well for me. The NP said some people would halve it and take it twice a week and found that they could go down a bit more. So I did that and now take 1 mg twice a week. I have been doing that since December.
117.4 - no clue why the drop. I ate completely normally yesterday and in fact finished my entire meal whi*****luded pasta. I also had 1/2 of an English muffin with peanut butter which I don't do too often. Weird.
We accomplished everything planned yesterday. The deck looks great with the furniture from my former house. DH was afraid it would be too much, but he is spatially challenged. I was confident they would fit. I ordered 2 outdoor rugs quite similar to what I had at the other house to complete it. We also bought some flowers for a planter in the front and a hanging one for the back. There is a garden bed next to the deck which needs to have something planted in which we need to figure out. DH is having a hard time imagining what to put in there partially because of that spatial challenge I mentioned.
DH is going to the funeral of an old friend from college today, traveling there with another friend from that time. I have never met them. Not sure what I will do other than put the flowers in the planter and maybe mulch that back garden bed to give DH a better idea of what it will hold. Also, maybe pick some hydrangeas for the house. Like last year they are flourishing on the Cape this year. My favorite flower!
But first, the bus leaves at 7:30 for breakfast, then a Justice walk following that. Have a super Sunday!

Thanks for the series tip! We finished Dept Q and need something new to watch.
Those burgers sound great. We rarely do burgers at home for some reason. Usually if we grill it is steak.

You are definitely practicing for Florida!
Now that I have been around my current weight for quite a while, I am finding that as long as I watch my eating "rules" most of the time, an occasional blip in eating doesn't cause any weight increase. I don't track calories at all. It's actually weird that DH is tracking WW points and I am not tracking as I used to a fanatic about things like that when watching my weight.

We knew about the lifetime pass but DH didn't have $80 on him. We will get that next year.
Good news about your Dad. Hopefully he is back home soon. And good for you figuring out those driveway lights!

So, so sorry about your friend's husband. Impending deaths and births - the circle of life.
Preparations for Europe have mostly been via making packing lists and checking that I have enough medications for the timeframe. I need to remake the bed in the other bedroom so I can start laying out clothing, etc. SIL has found a dress via Amazon that she can wear though may look at one more place today. She is going to make it to Spain but we might not do a lot of walking around.

Loved the dog pictures! Looks like they have the same mixes we have here!
I hope none of you end up really sick. That can really put a damper on your travels.
