I found them in FL too, so don't think it is regional. They just use a lavender syrup, look at the list of flavors offered next time you are out for coffee.
Is a Lavender Latte a Midwest thing? If so, I'm glad to be in the Midwest because they are delicious! It's hard to describe exactly. Have you had Lavender Macarons? Also delicious. Or a lavender infused ****tail? I bought some food grade lavender to sprinkle in my lattes at home, but I forgot about it! Thanks for reminding me Paula.
Peps there's no doubt things I need to do for retirement, places to call, paperwork to submit. Maybe I'm not feeling enough urgency because little stress here.
While retirement is not stressing me out, work sure tries to. They just rolled out a new way to do those reports I hate so much, and they've made them substantially more time consuming. Ugh. But then I think, what do I care. I only have to do them 2 more times. And then I am free, free, free of their nonsense.
The weather seems very dicey again with wildfires and storms coming for a big swath of the country. It's 55 here, so no complaints. Well see what Wednesday brings.
The show was delightful last evening. I've seen Midsummer Night's Dream several times, so I wasn't sure what new things they might do. The staging was so unique. A romp! Worth being out a bit late (10:15pm) on a school night.
Greetings all
Early check in for me, meaning I have not yet been out and about. Waiting for hair to dry. I need to go by the gym and then take payroll to studio and make a quick store stop.
DH is trying to renew his passport on line. Process is not going well due to the picture part. He gets very cranky when he can't get an IT thing to work as it is what he did for a living. i am staying away.
We watched the Oscars last night. Pretty good show though I have not seen any of the films. My brother was not that impressed with The Brutalist. I heard that "I;m Still Here" is really moving. We also watched Apple Cider Vinegar. The story is of fraudsters in the health industry. Good show but I don't recommend it for anyone experiencing heath issues.
Hi Ocean Diane! Good to hear from you. Congrats on maintaining. You are doing great. And indeed, how could a trike be lost? Huh? Please check in when you can.
Liz a local health club is offering a class called "Birdie Body". It's an exercise class designed for people who want to improve at golf. No idea what they do but it is an interesting concept.
Peps your anxiety may in fact be anticipation for retirement. Fear anxiety and excitement anxiety are not far apart. You know there is lots to do and have it on your mind. The end is in sight (or better - the beginning). You too DD.
Well I had better get moving. Another day another 10 eye drops. The sun is out big and it's comfortably crisp and life is good. The Big Bear eaglets are hatching. Diane S
I can't even imagine what a lavender latte would be like...

And we treasure you! I'm glad the fires aren't too near. Former neighbors of mine live in Murrells Inlet and they said they can see the smoke too.
What an inspiration you are in doing the Guardian ad Litem work. So needed.

You know, I have never seen a Lavender latte anywhere around here. Is is a special midwestern item? You'd think in CA I would be able to find one to try!
129.4. Normal fluctuations!
Did my 40 minute interval workout on the treadmill today after taking 2 days off. Felt good! Dusted the living room too.
I'll be leaving the house shortly to meet a friend for coffee at my favorite coffee shop. Lavender latte - yum!
Dinner plans are white chicken chili. I'll have to make a grocery store run after the coffee shop. What an exciting life I live. Lol!
Congrats on the sustained loss! Getting close to Onederland! Good for you! I think the anxiety regarding retirement is normal! I see it in DH now. I don't think I got nervous but DH was still working and I have Ben's pension so wasn't worried about finances. Our income will soon be cut in half (a bit more actually) so maybe I should be getting anxious too. We won't get SS for another 2 years!
209.7 - When I get a similar weight two days in a row I start to feel like it's a "real" number and not a teaser. It makes me happy to be under 210. I'm pleased that even though it took me longer than expected, my slow but steady attitude didn't falter. In the past, if I didn't make a weight goal I would feel discouraged and would often "throw in the towel".
I started feeling anxious over the weekend. I think it is part of my retirement preparation thinking. It is not a negative anxious feeling, but rather an anxiety pushing to me to get things accomplished. Yesterday after getting my client dog done (which turned out to be a relatively easy t*******whew!) I trimmed Blitz, washed crates, vacuumed the house and cleaned my bathroom, joined my brother for dinner at a new Japanese restaurant, came home and got dog club business done. If I hadn't had to go to work, I could have stayed up and cleaned and organized my office space.
On the docket today is work (my long day), making a stop at Whole Foods for an Amazon return, a workout, working on report cards, and two phone meetings for dog clubs. I was hoping to get some trimming in on Buster, but I don't think that's going to happen.
Cold and clear this morning. Brrr.... I think we'll get another full month of sweater weather, at least mornings and evenings.
Not much else...Here's to a great week!
