So happy you've found happiness once again! Wishing you and your DH many, many joy-filled years together.

Merry Christmas all!
I made a yummy Ina Garten breakfast casserole and hash brown cups. Super delicious and set off my heartburn... Ah, life ever in balance.
Christmas gifts were well received I think. Shouldn't have worried. I've watched A Christmas Story and Christmas Vacation and now moved on to British Bake Off Christmas.
Time to think about dinner planning and timing... dog walk later.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!
Merry Christmas! I know you're all busy with family gatherings. DH (first time I've been able to say that about my beloved) and I are still in and out of bed, about to watch the Chiefs/Steelers game.
As most of you have seen on Facebook, we got married yesterday! We're tickled as can be. And that's all the news that's fit to print. :)
I found my scales yesterday morning (weighed 127), but strategically decided NOT to weigh this morning. I seldom do that, but the number of cookies and chocolate candies and amount of salmon mousse that have gone into my mouth over the last few days is staggering. Christmas leftovers are hard to throw away!
Let's take it easy today and treat those we love and ourselves. Tomorrow we can clean up the house.

It's weird to wake up for Christmas in a hotel room even one with a beach view. I think this is a first!
The lunch with friends yesterday and the evening at DS's birthmother's home were both enjoyable. The hit of the second was DS's 18 month old cousin. What a bright, inquisitive, sweet girl (not sure this follows the Royal Order of Adjectives but oh well). She is a healthy eater willing to try all kinds of things including pickles. The pickle tasting was quite funny. She put a piece in her mouth, scrunched up her nose, took it back out to look at it, then put it back in her mouth. This was repeated a few times before she finally decided it was worth eating and chewed it up.
Today we leave around noon for a 1.5 hour drive to my nephew's home. All my family will be there this afternoon except for one SIL and her husband. They will spend the day with SIL's daughters and granddaughters. Tonight we stay at another hotel near there. DS stayed with us the last 2 nights, but he will stay with his sister tonight as he will drive back north to his home tomorrow morning. I am getting tired of moving around all over the place but am looking forward to family time today.
So my fear of gaining can't help sneaking in my head with these multiple days of eating unusual stuff and not having a scale to stand on. No choice but to wait until Friday to find out if damage has been done.
Have a Merry, Merry Christmas!

66 pounds over a year is an incredible loss!

I need to turn on Aretha once DH is up. I find that it gets harder and harder to find the Christmas music I would call traditional these days. Though White Christmas by Bing Crosby is supposedly the top song, when I ask Alexa for traditional Christmas music it is rarely included. And forget ever hearing Little Drummer Boy.

Merry, merry everyone!
Just lots of prep today. House is spic and span, food is all prepared. Just need to wrap a few last minute things. Yay!
215 on the dot. MY BODY MUST REALLY LIKE IT HERE! But given last December at this time I weighed 281, I gleefully accept my pause at 215!
Greetings all
Christmas Eve already? I am not - ready that is. Started the day with Scrabble. Won two, lost two. Learned there is a thing called the Royal Order of Adjectives. Look it up. After that I had to go for dog food and some cards that I forget yesterday. Just sat down and had three Christmas cookies delivered by a friend last night. Small and three is plenty. Took a bite of another and tossed it. I am preferring my glass of Fairlife.
Yikes Liz freezing cold! No fun. Can't get up the energy for that kind of cold. Stay inside.
DD thats more like it. A day where you don't have to go out. My kind of day. Hoping DS gets in safely and the ice storm abates. Snow is one thing. Ice is its own thing.
I need to get cooking. Gotta do the pate. Found out one of my scrabble friends likes it so I will make more next week. Dogs will be allocated one chicken liver. They also get yak chews,
Great pajamas CC. Perfect attire for jammie day.
We are supposed to get a boatload of rain. Driving down the 101 this morning it was cloudy on one side and sunny on the other. The ocean is really fierce and two groups of people got washed into the sea at two different beaches yesterday. They got out. Danged lucky. Those events usually end badly.
Crab legs Paula. Enjoy. Glad the new church service was nice. I heard an NPR program today where they were playing weird Christmas music - like really sad Christmas songs. Interesting but peculiar. I will listen to my favorite which is Aretha Franklin singing Joy to the World.
Cheers all. Diane S
Merry Christmas Eve!
141.5, down a bit but as low as I was about a week ago when I was probably too dehydrated!
Beautiful Christmas Eve day service at our new church today. They opened up with an awesome rendition of Little Drummer Boy! Brought tears to my eyes! I wish the kids would have joined us but no such luck!
We will frost cookies either today or tomorrow. Crab legs, Mom's homemade Mac and Cheese and green bean casserole for dinner with the chocolate mint cheesecake for dessert. We will end the evening by exchanging gifts and perhaps playing some games! Life is good!
Hoping all of you are enjoying time with friends and family!
Sweet way to remember your Mom. Picture in your Christmas jammies?
