Your daughter looks lovely and so happy surrounded by her friends. I hope all your plans go smoothly today, and you do indeed survive.
Miss 150, I would imagine that deciding where to store things could be a bit paralyzing, so kudos to you for continuing and growing the piles of empty boxes in the garage.
Yesterday I had a nice lunch with some friends, but as I was leaving, I felt the niggles of a pending headache. It became a doozy, sending me to bed with little relief all night. I am waking up very gingerly this morning, because it's still hanging on, but, thankfully, less forcefully than yesterday. I'm drinking a huge glass of water, and thinking about what to eat.
My initial plan for today was to get up early and head to the bigger farmer's market in St.Paul. That will have to be for another day. New plan, sitting in a beach chair at one of our fabled lakes. Still a good day!

Absolutely delightful and lovely gathering of happy young ladies. The smile on the bride to be tells it all.
Nothing going on here because every thing is going on and I laugh at myself every time I put something away because I am sure it will find a better placement later.
There will be much time spent catching up on the haps with you all soon (er or later) when all these boxes are in the garage instead of the house. If that happens, today will definitely be a superior Saturday.

Weight 121. Welcome to sunny (and hot) Florida. The weather looks like it will cooperate today and tomorrow hopefully with no thunderstorms. We had a short one when we were leaving the condo last night but it didn't last long.
Day one of the bachelorette weekend is complete and I think was mostly a success with a few minor glitches. The Uber that was supposed to fit 6 people didn't have the rear seat up so we had to stuff 4 of us into the back seat. The limo driver had a hard time finding our pickup spot and the limo sound system was wonky so we kept having to stop for him to fix it. We didn't find a great place with a band until our third try but that one was really fun. Then I couldn't find the blowup beds DH and I had tested - he squirreled them away somewhere but we finally found a twin size one that DD could sleep on. Anyway all worked out and there were people sleeping everywhere here (2 in each of the 3 bedrooms and 3 in the living room on the pull-out couch and blow-up mattress).
Today there is a full agenda. I want to go to a furniture store here to order new lanai furniture at 10 am, bocce with the group at 11, lunch at a Tiki bar in the town just north of us, and listening to a band outside at a bar near there in the afternoon. Then likely back here for the evening with pizza.
Hopefully I will survive the weekend ;) Have a superior Saturday!

Greetings all
Slow day here. We went to lunch at the Chinese buffet with friends. We went late and I was hungry. I ate too much and felt bad. Like I might be sick. I have not done that in years! So I came home and napped away the afternoon. So much for the day. It's been overcast and is raining now. I suppose I will eventually make dinner but right now feel like I won't eat ever again. So nothing done today except wash linens.
CC glad Kirby has a play date. Yeah big dogs can get anything. LOL 20 puzzle pieces. Amazing what they will eat. My dear old dog Liza chewed up expensive stuff including a pair of glasses, a gold chain and a sofa. Little Poppy is good by comparison taking only a sock from time to time. Glad the fence works. Our yard has underground wire mesh due to the digging terriers. They both need grooming. Maybe tomorrow. Glad your dad is home and in better spirits. So sorry for Claudia's family loss.
Liz that party video on TT looked fun. Enjoy and rest later. The center pieces look cool. I thought of you today as I saw some of the non cat box eucalyptus growing today.
I have been invited to go help can tomatoes next week. I will get to keep some. Not easy for my crappy hands but I will make do. Worst part is they like to start early.
Paula we will need a dress report. Traditional or edgy? We hope to see.
Yeah some of us need almost nothing to survive. As I have often *****ed, my BMR was 937. My body is in hibernation mode at all times. Ice age genes. Of course, napping all afternoon does not help.

So true! Ha! He's so tall, that if it's on a surface, he can reach it. There is no far enough back I can push things to have him avoid them. I wish I had some of my baby gates here!
So glad your Dad is back home and doing pretty good!
Sorry about your friend?s loss of their baby! That is so very hard.
We had a dog training book that had tips for when dogs get into stuff that they shouldn?t like the garbage, shoes on the floor or puzzle pieces. You get a newspaper or old magazine, roll it up, and then start hitting yourself over the head for leaving stuff out that your dog can get into! Ben loved that book! Just his type of humor! He would actually do just that if our Lab Kona got into something!
Oh yeah - the dreaded menopause that the rest of us are either close to or past does make a BIG difference in metabolism.
You can get nasal steroid sprays over the counter which I use when I have a sinus infection. Like Flonase or comparable.

I actually don't need to be really low thankfully! I haven't counted my calories in a long time, but when I am carefully measuring, I lose well at around 1700 calories. I think it's just amazing how quickly I get to 1700 or above without thinking about it especially here with cheese and crackers before dinner, nuts everywhere, ****tails at friend's homes, parties, food gifts from neighbors, eating out, ice cream, desserts... If it were occasional, that would be easier, but there seems to be at least one of the above every single day. Add in my propensity to snack when I'm alone and my weight here has stayed fairly stable (I just looked and I've lost 5.2 pounds since I left AZ on June 27, which is pretty great considering historically I gain 10 pounds over the summer here). I'm sure this will change when I get past menopause especially if I don't step up weightlifting exercises!
My dad came home from the hospital yesterday morning after a night there. He seems better than after most of his previous clogs. Thank you for your well wishes!
My I-think-it's-a-sinus-infection carries on. I can breathe freely through my nose, but my sinuses are clogged, I feel off balance, and I wake up with a sinus headache each day. Last night I had a fever and my neck lymph nodes feel like peas. Blech. But I don't feel sick enough to "take to my bed", so I wonder how long I let my body try to deal with it versus going to urgent care? These aren't things I'm prone to, so I have no reference. Is it like a cold where antibiotics aren't helpful?
The invisible fence guys came yesterday and flagged the entire fence line for Kirby and then did some training for him. He caught on quickly what the "bad flags" were. The fence wasn't actually broken! The wires at the control box had come loose. But the rest of what they did was totally worth the service call.
Today our friends who have a golden are bringing her (Addie) over to meet Kirby and see if she can get him to swim. She's 10 and has always been very calm, so I think Kirby will look like a crazy Benny Hill skit by comparison. I hope they get along and Kirby can play with her nicely. He hasn't had a ton of interactions with other dogs, which is my fault for not seeking it out...
Such sad news we got. Claudia's best friend from here since childhood has a lovely son and daughter in law we've spend time with when they come up here. They were expecting their first baby next month, but he suddenly died in utero and she had a 20 hour labor yesterday to deliver him. Her son said he looked perfect when he was born. They've requested an autopsy to see what happened. We're all heartbroken for them. Life can be so cruel.
Ugh, just had to pry 20 puzzle pieces out of Kirby's mouth. Bad dog!
I think that's all I know. I need to tidy up in here - there are toy innards everywhere from a disemboweled stuffed chipmunk and just lots of stuff that needs to be put away. I think having that done will make me feel a bit better! Funny how a mess can make you feel even worse when you're sick.
Take care all. I hope Lizanne's husband is improving.
Weight the same.
Sitting in the Minneapolis airport ready to hop on second flight to Bismarck. Cloudy here. So far travel has been good. I?m masking as several friends that have traveled lately returned with Covid. I?m the only one! I forgot how hot and stuffy these things are! Hopefully the maskne will stay away.
No plans that I know of for tonight. DSD and her fiancé work today so I?ll just be hanging out in their apartment. Tomorrow we drive to Fargo for the dress shopping experience.
Try and have a good time at the Bachelorette party Liz, I get it though, they are designed for the younger crowd that doesn?t go to bed by 9:00 pm (that is me for sure)!
Weight 121 (official weekly weight). Still stable. Both DD and Paula were talking about how low they had to go in calories to lose weight. I think DianeS has expressed the same which I also deal with. I believe we are all fairly short so that is probably why we have to go so low. I would bet that even CC who is a terrific height (I always wished I was tall), has to be at quite a deficit compared to what her body normally needs to lose. It doesn't sound as bad but is probably still at a point too low for her body in the long-term. I am sure I lost muscle in this most recent loss cycle so I am looking forward to regaining it when I get back to Florida in the fall. I am looking forward to rejoining water aerobics and exercise classes. My arms have improved due to the shoulder exercises but the rest of me needs work.
It is almost 5 am here. DS who came home for a few days left here at 4:05 for the 3.25 hour ride to Portland. I am leaving here around 5:45. I have a check-on bag and a carry-on, plus a box for my DD to check. Both checked luggage pieces are filled with stuff I want transferred from this house to the Florida house.
I am very excited to see my finished living room. It was mostly done when we went there at the end of July but the painting and trim change are complete now. I am not looking forward to the bachelorette festivities as I am just too old for this stuff, though seeing DD's enjoyment will be wonderful. Speaking of which, SIL and I did this as a model for the centerpieces. The greenery is just a stand- in for the real seeded eucalyptus we will use and will also be in DD's bouquet. The bridesmaids will have hydrangeas in theirs.
Have a fine Friday!
