Seems like a lot going around. I would think after a few days it just has to run its course (seems like most medications work only in the initial stages).

Like CC I feel a little better each day, but man, this thing just won't go away. New symptoms are puss on the remnant of my left tonsil (I had them out in grad school) and very hoarse voice. I think I will lose it if I keep talking. Weird thing is my throat really doesn't hurt. Still have a lot of congestion and a little headache from the congestion. Thinking because of the length of this illness, it might be more than just a common cold but still probably nothing that can be done for it.

Feeling slightly better today. Still clogged and sneezing. Hoping tomorrow is better still.
Both DH and I love Tommy Bahama! Good idea to get used off EBay. DH does a lot of EBay shopping. Unfortunately, I pay full price from their online store or when in Hawaii, the physical store! I think there might be one in Naples, road trip!

I was up by 6 so I could walk before water aerobics, but there was a note in my email that it was cancelled because the pool heater is broken. Both disappointed and relieved at the same time ( don't like being cold).
Yesterday we had a good time playing golf with our friends. I actually did okay for me (which isn't saying much). We finished in the middle of our division with a net score 4 under par. Not too shabby. It was chillier than expected though because even though the sun was bright and it was around 70, there was a brisk north wind especially as the afternoon went on. Thank goodness I had brought a jacket to wear. Have I mentioned that I hate being cold?
Today not much on the agenda other than the furniture delivery and perhaps a food store run. Maybe I will sit by the pool if it is warm enough. Seems like a long time since I have been in a bathing suit.

Been there many times!!!! We used to go with our friends on our annual visits, then after we lived in Port Charlotte. There aren't many good restaurants in Port Charlotte so typically we would go to ***** Gorda when we wanted to go out. Another favorite in ***** Gorda is Carmelo's, an Italian restaurant.

Shepards Pie is always a good one - may need to keep that in mind for our next cold snap.
Just a week before your trip! I am glad you won't be close to Venezuela but still a good idea to be quiet about your country of origin I think.

So sad to have a fire displace businesses and people. But no fatalities? That is a good thing. One of the old, old wharfs in Portland Maine had a devastating fire a few days ago. DS said the same occurred - lots of businesses and some apartments burnt down. The buildings were old historic buildings so constructed of old dry wood. But no injuries in that fire either because of the time when it occurred.
