Yeah for people getting good sleep, and not hating how a bathing suit looks!
I had a paperwork day today, so head down, cranking out reports. Not my favorite way to pass a day, but I did get a lot done.
DH had one of those scans today, that measures calcium build up in your arteries. 6 years ago he was in the low risk range, this time he crept over the line into the moderate risk, putting him in the 59th percentile for his age. I preferred when he was in the 48th percentile. His cholesterol numbers and blood pressure readings, and glucose are always in a good range. The only change his doctor recommended was adding aspirin. He already takes a low dose of Crestor. He started that in his 30s, because of his family history: his Mom died at 60 and his Dad at 63. DH will be 65 this spring. First skin cancer, and then a bump in arterial calcium. I told him this is not acceptable, because he's the strong one who lifts the bags into the overhead bin. He's going to try and stop aging per my request.
Lasagna is baking. I use a recipe that doesn't require boiling the noodles. One step removed makes it go just a little faster. I use jarred marinara sauce. I may be a heathen. DS won't actually be bac****il around 9pm if there are no flight delays. I'll pretty much have time to heat him up a piece, hug him goodbye and hello, and then go to bed. Even so, its nice to fall asleep knowing he's in the house, and waking up to the same.
You go, girl!

Scallops are great but I rarely cook them at home (I was spoiled by having DS to do it).

150.1, oh so close to the next decade! I tried on some swim suits last night and didn't hate how I looked in them! That's saying something!
Productive day so far. Some days I'm still in my pjs at this hour (I'm slow going in the morning since retiring). Haircut, drove to the little town we raised our boys at and dropped off 3 huge bags of clothes at the Thrift shop, unloaded the dishwasher and washed, dried and folded laundry!
Not sure what else I need to get done except make an Amazon return to Kohl's. I kind of want to go to a worship night at my Oshkosh church tonight but will need to see if DH is up for it. It is his first day off after working a bunch of night shifts and he has a tooth that has been bothering him too. He sees the dentist at 3 today.
Scallops thawed out for dinner tonight. Such an easy and yummy meal. I think I will pan sear them! Not sure on the side dish yet!
Go****'s Tuesday already and another lovely autumn morning here.
Yesterday was a very productive decision-making/decluttering/donating/cleaning day. For 7 hours I had the help of my home maintenance friend/employee who is brutal (in the good way) about things like that. She's 50 years old, strong as an ox, and carries heavy boxes bounding up and down stairs like she's strolling (rapidly) through the park.
Last night I slept like a log--9 hours! I awoke feeling really good. Although was so active yesterday, I don't feel the least bit sore or stiff. It's like my body craves movement and lifting heavy stuff.
Today I have follow-up calls and in-town visits about moving, storage, furniture sales and donations, etc.
Ready ... set ... go!

Liz, thanks for sharing that muscle/motion info from your PT. Good to know.

119.2
I was so tired yesterday - maybe post-visit letdown? I slept better than I have been lately at night so hopefully will be better today.
As I was commenting on Paula's note yesterday on regaining muscle, I was thinking about how the water aerobics has already improved my shoulder. I had gotten lax at doing my exercises during the move because I was using it in other ways all day and too tired at night. Then I was out of the habit. The water aerobics have me back where I was and probably better than that without me really thinking about it specifically. I feel like my shoulders are almost equal now other than range of motion behind my back which will always be restricted because of the reverse shoulder mechanics.
I think I will make pasta fagioli tonight. It will yield a lot of leftovers which I will freeze. I have been craving something like that. You'd think I was in the cold up north ;) But I will pretend I am just like we told Peps about decorating for fall and Christmas in warm
climates.
Have a terrific Tuesday!
