120.2.

Another beautiful day here! Good water aerobics class this morning and then sunning by the pool!

Left over grilled fish and veggies and some yellow rice for dinner. Super easy, just had to zap in the microwave.

Art fair attending in Sarasota tomorrow. I think we will hit up a Mexican restaurant that we really enjoyed 2 years ago when we spent the month of January in Sarasota. They have wonderful table side guacamole!

Two more nice days here before another cold snap comes later on Monday. Booooooo! The cold snap, not the nice days!

Yay for staying under 200! I think CCs comment on less inflammation from muscle repair could very well be what is going on!

I believe time of day also makes a difference. I find that if I visit in the morning he is more coherent. My brother thinks this is true, too. I wonder if this is our wishful thinking, or if there is some truth to that?

We couldn't apply our credit toward gratuities but we had prepaid them anyway.

Sorry about your Dad. That happened gradually for me with deceased DH because I was with him all the time but I know it was harder for the kids because they could see the decline more clearly even from week to week at points.

That could very well be. I hadn't even considered that.

Yay on staying under 200!! I wonder if giving your muscles a break from training means some of that inflammation from the constant repair is giving you a boost? I know you're probably anxious to get back to working out, but maybe this is your "true" weight without the repair/inflammation response?

199.3 WTH!?!?!?! three days in a row and a little less each day. Hmmmm.... Liz, perhaps you are correct! I even ate more normally yesterday since the gut issues seem to be waning. (Didn't have to get up during the night...YAY!) Of course, a bit of my disordered thinking is kicking in! It says to me, "Dude, don't eat too much. Really, cut waaaay bac****il you have some wiggle room to stay under 200." Which invariably leads to a few days of starvation eating, which leads to a binge. But, at least I am aware and can stop it before it starts (or at least gets out of hand).

Liz, I find that ship credit weird. We had it for our Viking Cruise. We ended up using it for gratuities. They never applied our credit to Ron's bar bill or his clothing purchase. I am starting to look forward to our cruise in October. My brother is, too. He's already talking about looking at extra-curricular excursions. We may end up booking a few tours privately, rather than with the cruise line. I will leave that up to my brother.

Another gray and gloomy day, but it beats the hell out of the sub zero temps in the mid west and the east! We have temps in the mid 50s today. Nothing to complain about.

Okay, for the first time I was unable to figure out what my father was talking about yesterday. No matter what type of clarifying or leading questions I asked, he was unable to make clear what he was going on about. I had big feelings about it at the time, but it wasn't until last night that I realize my feelings were because this was a first - I was simply unable to decipher what he was talking about. I have always been able to figure out his topic and have a conversation with him. Yesterday, was the first time I was at a loss. I think that chipped into a new level of sadness about his dementia for me. Makes sense.

Well, I must get on with the day. I have things to do and people to see! (Not really, but it sounds good! It's really another day of not much.)
