Sorry to hear about your Dad. Hopefully he'll be home soon. He has to deal with a lot on the health front.

Oh, I feel your pain from the mosquitoes. It's not a chic look, but my dad wears one of those hats with a net when he's in the woods up north, and lots of bug spray. Get better.

What a relief to have the house stuff done including the cupola! Safe travels.

Woke up this morning to find my dad and his wife had headed to the hospital at 3am with a stent clog. My poor dad! It was due to be changed next week. Not sure how long they will keep him. It depends on his bloodwork and kidney function.

Bad night sleep for me. My skin is alive with mosquito bites. Uncountable numbers and even on my back, shoulders (got me through my shirt) and in my hairline. *******s. I need to go buy bug spray for walks and Benedryl to try to cut down on the itching. I do have one of those devices that heats up the bite so it stops itching for a while. It's the only thing saving my sanity right now.

Today is shot day, my 24th. Amazing it's been that many weeks. Down 3 for the week and a total of 42.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Yesterday it felt like I was on the run every moment. But the house was fully ready for the photographer and everything fit in somehow even though I was a few minutes late for PT. I hate being late. Oh and just when I was leaving for DH's house, my friend showed up and painted my cupola. So that's done. The realtor who worked with the photographer is on my realtor's sales "team" and had not seen the house yet. He said he loved the house and how it was decorated. He said the listing will go up in 2-3 days.

DH got lobster for the 3 of us last night for dinner which was a real treat. He orders them pre-cooked and cracked from a local establishment. Fun eating on the deck for our first night here. The cat seems to be adjusting well somewhat surprisingly though we had to block off the loft because she was teetering on the edge of it looking like she wanted to jump to the living room ceiling beams. She was adopted from a shelter after someone left her there with a broken leg that wasn't properly set so she is not as agile as most cats. She can do most jumps but sounds like she weighs 1000 pounds when she lands and sometimes she slips. So DS was scared to death of her being up there.

I am looking forward to sitting on the plane to Florida this morning with nothing to do for a few hours. I may just sleep since I just had 2 nights of sleeplessness. Three hours last night. Tonight we are going to dinner with friends at the beach club.

Time to get showered. Have a worksome Wednesday (or not).

I started to be surprised at mosquitoes in Arizona and then remembered you were in Michigan! Nasty buggers.

Kind of a lazy day. Kirby and I walked a little over 2 miles this morning and on the road to whee the house is, we got stopped by a neighbor driving by to chat. I got eaten alive by mosquitoes while we were standing still. With all the rain they're really bad this year and this road stays damp and shady year round. Perfect for the bloodsuckers! I'm just covered in bites. They love me. Awful.

I brushed Kirby today, went to the store, sat outside, vacuumed, and made a really delicious pasta dish for dinner. It was not low calorie, but tasty. Oh and I shopped the Amazon sale. I actually needed stuff and was patiently waiting for today. My mesh wifi router is dying, so that was 43% off and my hairdryer smells like it will go up in flames any minute (electrical rather than dust or hair burning) and that was also 40% off. I was not going to get burned like last year when the tv I bought the week before ended up $500 less during Prime Day and I couldn't undo it!

I forgot to weight today. Tomorrow is shot day.

Hope you're all well!

Stepdaughter definitely is embracing a relationship with you. Having been arms length from my stepdaughter of 43 years for probably 30 of those years I can tell you that when they open up it is a wonderful thing.

Greetings

It's cool and misty here today. Needed wipers on the way to Scrabble. It was a triumphant day for me as I won all three games including defeating The Shark. He is a very serene person but was emoting quite a bit about his lack of play options! Funny.

I came back home rather than stop at the studio. I am expecting a call about our gallery lease. Member meeting tonight and I hope to be able to report.

Tuna salad for lunch. Dinner last night was scrambled eggs. Tonight might be equally humble as the meeting is at 5;30 and will surely make me cranky and unwilling to cook.

Paula so cool you get to go on the dress shopping mission. Thats the fun part. Is there a big entourage?

And yeah, having aunties (and sisters) can be great.

DD I hear you on the bedding plants. In the midwest I would always get them too early and then have to frost protect. Bet they do just fine.

Not much else. I woke up kind of achey today so I am consuming advil. DH has some new kind of leg vibrating device that you stand on. Actually he has two different ones. Hmmm
