So sorry about your Dad. It's such a shame that he keeps having to go through this.

DH is thinking that he wants to be between 180-185 (he is 188 now) at 5'9". He is grumbling about having to buy some new clothes though (he HATES buying clothes).

I heard that Wisconsin and surrounding states were going to suffer with a "heat dome" this weekend. It is supposed to be sudden summer in the Northeast too but not quite as bad.

Interesting that some compounding pharmacies are still prescribing though HenryMeds has shut it down. But they were targeted in a suit by Lilly.

I haven't been. A waste, I know, but Kirby is scared of it and gets upset when I'm in it. I have tried a few times to coax him in, but right now the flagstone decking is too hot for him to stand on while I try to tempt him to get in. I was talking with my pool guy yesterday who said he has another client with a lab who is the same way. Imposter water dogs!
My go to restaurant has an appetizer with goat cheese and beets, and its my fave. The goat cheese is breaded and fried, and the beets are in a salad. Unfortunately, the name of it is: Goat Cheese Balls. I feel like a middle schooler when I order them. Really delicious though, served with a side of balsamic glaze for dipping.
LOL. We are looking at a bare bones tour that costs around $2500 per person, including airfare. It includes 4 days (or maybe 3) river cruise. DH says we're probably sleeping on deck under mosquito netting. The reviews are good though, so we'll probably take a chance. It cost about $2000 - 3,000 to have a tree taken down here :)
Are you enjoying your pool on these hot days?
Good thoughts for your Dad. He surely does persevere in the face of some big health issues.

My mom's grandfather was from Salzburg. Hope it's wonderful!
I had a call from my dad's wife this morning (it's always going to be something bad because she never calls me, we talk when my dad calls me). He had a partial blockage of his kidney stent and a kidney infection. So he's in the hospital again. Such a bummer because he was doing so well! But being a partial blockage, we're hoping with antibiotics he will bounce back faster than last time. Poor guy.
Hot again today (101 yesterday), but only 9% humidity. So while hot, it could feel worse. Though it probably wouldn't be able to get this hot if it was humid too!
While the driveway lights were fixed, I saw them, they won't come on now. Grr. It's always something!
I should go see if it's something simple... take care everyone!
