125.4. Bathroom success again!
Got on the treadmill this morning, same interval workout of 3.7 mph and intervals with hills at 5 and 7 percent. Right now that level is the perfect level of challenge for me! Not too shabby for an almost 60 year old!
DC1 and I did some more clothes shopping for the wedding. They got a sports coat and I got a little sheer bolero to hopefully keep me a bit warmer in my sleeveless dress in North Dakota in mid May! I thought the price was highway robbery ($50) for what it is!
Finally made an Esty sale last night! Still need to do a lot of work on my site!
Taco Tuesday at the Weber house tonight! Love me a taco! DH is getting a tooth pulled right now so he may have to eat chicken chili or yogurt.

They're from Scottsdale! And said they loved there were less bugs up here. (???)
119 - maybe the scale here is stuck LOL
Not much cleaning here yesterday except inside - it POURED all day. But trash got taken to the dump as well as several bags of old comforters and quilts that went to the swap shop. All is clean inside, including existing bedding which is all washed. So a lot accomplished.
DH is golfing this morning from 9-1 and the "kids" are leaving mid-day. Possibly they will spread the mulch before they leave? If not, it will likely be sitting in a pile until we return on May 25.
Today I shuttle DH back and forth to golf, take Justice (and maybe the other dogs) for a walk, then tonight we meet SIL in my former town for dinner. We fly back south mid-day tomorrow.
Have a mosaic Monday!

Definitely going to watch Fareed after the recommendations here.
Yes, DSD can gradually add fat back in after surgery tomorrow. Her surgeon said some people are okay with it right away and others need time to get used to processing fat without a gallbladder so advised her to take it slow.
My brother told me yesterday that he is getting chickens so he will have his own eggs (and keep his dogs amused LOL).
We decided to fence in the yard here so hopefully by the time we come back, Justice will be free to roam in and out of the house on a warm day. It will keep the dogs in and the coyotes out.

I hope you had a good visit with BFF and friend. I don't think I could handle the possibility of sleeping with scorpions either. Are these new neighbors native to Arizona? If not maybe they didn't realize how many critters are waiting out there when get designed their home?

Zakaria is a smart, excellent interviewer who asks the important (not silly) questions of the day and/or knows how to marry the issues of the day to the interviewee's expertise and experiences. He's also one of the most effective interviewers of businesspeople and can go deep into lots of industries' issues.

Greetings all
Another sunny day. The slider is open and the dogs are basking on the deck. The glorious season is here where the slider is open most of the time and there is no thought to rain wear. Yay.
Studio buddy is coming over in a bit for tech support from DH. Mostly it's sort of therapy for her as she rants and raves about how hard her life is and how technology is trying to ruin her life. A bit dramatic but pretty funny. DH is becoming more impatient with her as she is so busy complaining that she does not listen. Oh well. It is amusing. We all have our drama queen friends
And CC sounds like your friend is one of those people who has no sense of timing. Like responding to a text within a few days. Sounds like the other neighbors are pretty fun even if they do allow bats at dinner parties! Maybe they just don't know about all the invasive creatures. Good on you for keeping them out. Hope your guests are fun and you get some down time.
And yay for Liz on ditching the house washing. Sounds like you did plenty on the inside. Hope your DSD does well with the surgery. Will that change the diet restrictions? Not easy in America to eat no fat.
So the eggs I got yesterday were $4.75 a dozen. That is about what they have always been. These are local cage free organic fed chicken eggs who are offered therapy when their eggs are taken. Taste great!
Ann glad to hear you are moving towards civilization. It will all be so worth it in the long run. DH creatures are indeed so bonded to their power tools. What's with that? As we speak DH is out in the garage. Not sure what's up but it may have something to do with the water heater recirculater that is arriving tomorrow.
Thanks for the reminder of Fareed, DD. A good show. I am with you - the new journalistic interview style of being combative and interrupting your guest is dumb and uninformative. Let the person speak.
We had quiche from the hippie deli last night. Quite good. More for tonight.
Time for more eye drops. And shopping on line for readers.

I think we could all benefit from a Character Development class.

126.1. I ended up eating just over 1400 calories yesterday! And I'm still on the hungry side today but did take my 2mg shot, so that should diminish in a day or two.
Today was my last Character Development class. Well worth the time invested in it.
Plan to made grilled tuna steak Asian salads for dinner. Was going to grill outside but it looks like rain now, so may have to bring out the cast iron grill and do on my stovetop.
DC1 and DH are napping (not together, lol). I may join DH once my FB marketplace transaction of selling my old printer is complete. A 1:00 pick up time is looking like it will be closer to 3:00.
Lobster dinner sounds delightful, as does soaking in a tub! Hope the neighbor does have the talk with you CC and I love your boundaries!

Interesting development on the "friend" front. I think I mentioned we were both invited to the neighbor's (Claudia) house last night. I got this text late in the day, "Thanks for your call. I was hoping to go to Claudia's tonight and hang with you but I am just worn out."
Shocking to get, really, after 10 days of mostly crickets. I texted back saying maybe we could talk soon. No reply. Now to think about what I want to convey if we do talk. 1) She doesn't get to sweep this under the rug and pretend it didn't happen and put the blame for this on me. 2) setting a boundary that I won't accept this kind of silent treatment/argument style again. 3) convey 1 and 2 without sending her into a second round of victimhood. Hmm. Trust has definitely been broken, so we'll see.
I did go to the party and I'm glad I did. They are great people and their friends were all very nice. The food was delish. The house is beautiful. Very sterile in a uber-modern way (who knew there were so many shades of off-white), but they don't have any personal items in it as they haven't moved in. But it's super high tech with powered walls that slide back to disappear, multiple kitchens, a soundproof theater room, etc. It makes me want to start from scratch every time I see a new house in here! It would be fun to get exactly what you want. Funny thing about the sliding walls, I'm always going nuts about the screens and doors not being left open because of snakes, lizards, bugs, and scorpions. They had them wide open and while we were eating dinner a bat flew in and was flapping around the house to much squealing! Eventually it flew out, but I felt vindicated for my door vigilance.
Case in point, I had the first snake of the season by the backdoor yesterday. A baby gopher snake:
Unfortunately I slept like doo-doo last night and have a headache. And my bff and his new squeeze are coming over today, so I need to finish cleaning. I got some done yesterday, but left a bunch for this morning, which my morning-self is very displeased about.
So off to clean... Take care!
