CC, your poor dad and his wife are having a tough season. I know it is hard on you, too. Hugs.
Liz, your busy social calendar continues to amaze me. I've never been to a Pink concert (last night's sounded awesome). For no reasons I can think of I've just not been a big pop/rock concert goer. I love music of every kind and been to scores (no pun intended) of concerts and operas and musicals. My sweetheart on the other hand has seen every rock concert and festival you could imagine. Heck, he once went to the Czech Republic to see the Stones who he's seen at least half a dozen times.
Today I'll do a little cleanup mowing and run errands in town. It's a lovely day here. Yesterday it only got up to 78 degrees. It was 110 in Texas where two siblings live. Ugh!

I sure hope your Dad doesn't suffer any consequences from the clogged stent.
I agree that is odd that the rules around dosage levels allowed for compounding are different from state to state. I think Florida and Massachusetts are similar.

I'm so very sorry y'all are going through all of this. Best wishes for you all. Big hug to you.

I'm happy for you, DD. I hope your last year of teaching is the best one ever. You so deserve it.

My poor dad and his wife spent the night at the hospital with another clogged stent. His theory is two big smash burgers on sequential nights was too much protein which he's supposed to limit and might have clogged it. I don't understand enough about it to know if that's logical or not, but either way it clogged. And with a fever and history of sepsis, they kept him. They are still waiting on whether he'll be discharged soon. Poor Claudia is exhausted. My dad at least could sleep in a bed.
I'm waiting for the invisible dog fence guy to come fix a break in the line and help me with showing Kirby how it works. Too much of him wandering off joining other families for walks on the beach and pestering the neighbors. He was so good the first month not straying, but is feeling very confident these days. I've got a sinus something or other that has me feeling a bit yucky the last few days, so I'd rather be sleeping in, but that's what I get for not asking what time he might be here...
Lizanne, I'm so sorry to hear your husband is unwell. I have seen with my dad who has lost a kidney and his bladder to bladder cancer than an underlying health condition coupled with age means otherwise inconsequential ailments can turn dangerous in the blink of an eye. I hope your husband improves quickly!
My weight loss is still very low, but it's my own doing. Though I'm not gaining so I'm okay with it. -3.2 for July, -.8 this week with lots of bouncing around the 190 neighborhood. I would like to move to 12.5mg, but can't with compound in MI. Such weirdly specific rules here.
Take care everyone!
What a performance Pink put on! Sheryl Crowe preceded her and the music was enjoyable but she didn't translate well to a large stadium venue. But Pink's huge personality, voice, and show certainly did! I have a bunch of videos but they really can't convey how strong and impactful her performance was. She connected to her audience and listening to her sing and seeing the performance was so worth braving the crowds.
Weight 121.4, up .6. Not a surprise as I had a snack when I got home at 1 am. We had dinner at about 4 so I needed something. I couldn't settle down to sleep very easily last night so I think I only got 2-3 hours of sleep.
Today is injection day and I'm sticking with the same tirzepatide dose. No real plans today other than laundry and packing for the bachelorette party this weekend. Hopefully I can fall asleep easily tonight as I have to be up at around 4 am tomorrow to get ready and drive to the airport.
Sending positive vibes to ThinLizzy for her DH's recovery. Have a thoughtful Thursday!

I sure hope DH improves soon. I have a friend with advanced Parkinson's. He is a bit younger (about 70), but has had it for a long time. I didn't know about the complications that can occur with other illnesses. Hopefully it is something that antibiotics, etc can resolve. And great insurance choices with his illness.

it will be interesting to know if those over the counter cholesterol lowering supplements really work. And hood that you are moving forward on the surgery.

Yay for a manageable last year!

So sorry your DH is so ill. Glad to hear your DD is there to help. How overwhelming.
Thank you for taking the time to explain your health insurance/Medicare decisions. I'm learning a lot.
