Again, not much here.
So sad to read about Lizanne's husband's death on FB. I agree with DD: As a group, you make a collection of extremely resilient women.
I increased my tirzepatide dose yesterday. No ill effects, but I did not expect any. Good session with eating disorder/nutritionist this afternoon. Looking forward to a little more weight coming off in the next months. It would be really cool to be at my goal by my b'day in February.
Picking up GOAT tomorrow. I will empty it out, take out the crates, put the dinette back in, clean it, and see about listing it either as a consignment where I bought it, or list it with an agency out of Indiana who will deal with the sale. I don't really have the wherewithal to manage an RV sale. I will also get the 1997 Ford van detailed and listed. That I can manage!
Three glorious days off! I know I've only been back at it for 3 weeks, but an extra day off is always appreciated. My case of Senior-itis only strengthens!
Greetings all
Another nice day. Summer is still in full force here and we love it. I went to the studio and made a few messes. Today is fire day and the big kilns are running. The front door is being painted a bright marigold yellow. Looks good.
We are all thinking of Lizanne and family. Such a tough time for them all. No easy way through it. Sending peace.
Yeah cardboard in the garden. I think I did that years ago. Better than weed cloth which is worthless. The cardboard looks kind of crappy and has to be held down somehow but eventually rots away. Hope it works CC.
Happy anniversary DD! Hope you have a great dinner out. Gosh I show my age by being astonished by the shooter training skills that teachers must have these days. When I was a kid the most wild thing that happened was a dog came into the school and ran around. And once the fire alarm went off because a studen****ing a tennis ball off the wall and hit the buzzer.
New house Ann!!! It will be fun. And being down to one home sounds grand. I hope the moving and such goes quickly and smoothly.
Enjoy the beach Liz. Sounds like there are lots of great haunts there. Winery mention reminds me I have to get wine and other stuff for labor day at friends. Also your mention of outdoor dining reminds me to do that as soon that season will be over.
College football starts officially for us tomorrow. I hope our team is better this year than last year.
DH went out to lunch and brought home most of a reuben sandwich. Dinner solved. Must cook chicken for the dogs.

Bangs at 3:30 am are never good.
Enjoy the end of summer/early fall in WI!

We put cardboard down as a weed barrier in our church garden and it seems to work well!
166.9. Finally on the downtrend again!
Feeling better so far today but have not really done anything yet! Sipping on a Gatorade to start my day then perhaps a protein bar.
DH will need to sleep until noon or so and then we have the rest of the weekend to do as we please. Might go scavenging for a couch for DS3, he said he needs lighting as well. I offered him an extra loveseat that we have but don't think he is interested! He will probably sleep half the day away too as I heard him rummaging around last night. There were either multiple shots fired or someone was setting off fireworks around 3:30 am, either way not good! It may be the start of duck hunting but not at 3:30 am!
Summer is winding down. Probably our last one in WI. Summer's and Fall here are beautiful,Winter's and even Spring not so much!
So sad that our school personnel (and students) need training about what to do if a school shooting occurs and how sad that a new student has experienced it. I can't imagine their fear or the parents when it occurred.

I'll be very curious to hear how the cardboard thing works. The internet commenters and tiktok creators give it positive feedback ...
Time to think about summer being over and returning to our other homes. Always sad and happy at the same time it seems.

Congratulations!!! Multiple homes is definitely a royal pain at times. Though we will still have 2, DH is hoping to shift maintenance responsibilities to his kids.
