158.8, new decade! Yay!

Feeling a little less anxious about the probable change of plans for retirement. The more I think about it, it makes sense. Especially since we don't have a good feel on what our new lesser income stream will do to our lifestyle. I was also feeling bad about leaving before DS3 was done with undergrad college. He doesn't come home often but it is good to have a place to land if and when you need it. Same thing for DC 1. I don't worry too much about DS2 in that regard.

Liz, so happy the wedding went on without a hitch and hope MIL is doing better today! Can't wait to see the pics!

Peps, congrats on the steady downward trend for the scale! I hope to be at goal before the wedding in May. I should get there if I keep losing like I have.

CC, sorry about the HOA woes. Can never please everyone! I remember you had a difficult time post plastics with healing but don't remember if it was the tummy tuck, the thighs or both.

Greetings all

It's sunny and breezy here. A great day. I am checking in earlier than usual because studio buddy is here and DH is coaching her on how to program the Apple tv remote. He has set up this display on the big tv so it's like attending a seminar. Tee hee. It will all take 10 times longer than needed but what do it care. Meanwhile, the dogs are banished to the back yard.

I am feeling better than yesterday. Guess good sleep counts for a lot. I was very discouraged about how limited I felt at the festival in terms of mobility but over it today. If this seminar gets done at a reasonable hour I will go to the gym and waddle on the treadmill. Also need a grocery trip. Last nights dinner was scrambled eggs.

Yay Liz on the wonderful wedding. Sounds fabulous all around. I had no idea of the getting dressed ritual including photography but nice to have those memories preserved. And shout out to your brave and wonderful niece for attending graciously. Hope the MIL is ok. Enjoy the brunch. How great that all your family pitches in. Can't imagine moving stuff in two days but you are so "can do". Congrats at staying at weight through all this,

Of course Buster has his own suitcase! Enjoy the trip Peps. I guess someone has to plan for the subs. Add that to the list of "last time I do this stuff".

Internet tower chronicles CC! Sounds like fun (NOT). Maybe the tower could be disguised as something. Out here we have the world's tallest totem pole at a shopping center. Its is, of course, a cell tower but it looks like a totem and much of it was replaced recently. How tall does it have to be? A giant cactus? A hot air balloon like the olympic torch?

And furthermore, how is it that some people keep their houses tidy all the time so that people can stop by on short notice? A concept totally foreign to me. Tidying for me is a week long process as our debris quotient is very high. Two clutter bugs in one house is not good.

Well the tech seminar continues. I am going to play on line scrabble and make a shopping list.

Weight up from eating out twice yesterday.

Internet tower fallout continues. More neighbor complaints and they aren't wrong. Half the neighborhood has Starlink, so they won't use the new tower and don't want to look at it because it looks awful. The board president (who I don't care for) says everyone needs to calm down and live with it. But she's only here a couple of months at most of the year. Last time was May. She has 4 homes. So what does she care? The internet company needs the tower to triangulate this end of town and had an agreement with the developer who is no longer associated with the neighborhood. So how binding is that? Ugh. Ugh. Ugh. Unfortunately, much more to follow.

We had a nice day yesterday. I bought another painting. I think my friends are going to stop at the house on their way out of town, so I have to tidy up again. If I was just a tidy person this wouldn't seem so daunting all the time! So much doesn't have a home in my house and that's the problem. Which is exacerbated by too much stuff.

And first a dog walk as it's going to be another scorcher and I need to get it out of the way. 18 degrees above normal here yesterday. Awful.

Must get moving! Take care.

I am so happy the wedding went off without a hitch, Liz! Hope DD's MIL is okay this morning and it wasn't anything more than a panic/anxiety attack. An arm pump and a "Right on!" for your niece! For the results, but mostly for her strength and resolve!

Dropped another chunk on the scale this morning. If this keeps up I'll be in the 210-19 range in a few weeks. I would be thrilled if I am in the 190s by my birthday in mid February! I started the medication in late February. Being close to goal only a year after starting on the meds would be flipping awesome.

Lots of dog trimming today! I should also run to Costco, but I don't know if I have that in me. I do need to get to TJ Max, Ross or the Dollar Store for some cheap photo frames. I have some photos I need to take as gifts for last year's ring stewards. I also need to do some more packing and make a list for Buster's suitcase. The dog gets a suitcase....cracks me up!

Oh, gotta start working on sub plans, too. Have I mentioned I HATE DOING SUB PLANS????

Not much else to report.

I think part of my bad outcome was doing too much at once. Do consider breaking it up.

Did you have the tummy tuck and facelift at the same time? My idea is to have a lower face and neck lift and possibly a lower body lift and arms. Just depends on how it all ends up looking and feeling (though I think the face and neck lift are a done deal!)

At this weight my arms are pretty well defined (cut shoulders and triceps and forearms). Believe it or not my thighs have muscle definition as does my belly. Still a nice substantial layer of padding all over, but you can definitely see the muscle underneath.

Be forewarned: OH is funky this morning and crashed about 3 times as I was trying to reply to yesterday's posts. I am writing this elsewhere, then pasting it in.

Weight 121.2. Though still in the low-end of my range I don't like that slow creep. If it continues I may go back up to the 5 mg dose.

Wedding day + 1 LOL. Two days until we move my stuff to DH's home.

The wedding was perfect in essentially every way. The weather couldn't have been better, the ceremony was beautiful, the function hall looked amazing, and everyone loved the food and danced up a storm. Lots of emotion of all sorts. I will put pictures up on FB eventually but this morning we need to get ready to host 41 people for brunch.

I had never had that full wedding experience so it seemed like a lot! Seven people having their hair and makeup done in the same house and a photographer arriving before the bride got dressed so he could take pictures at various stages. The only negative was that the groom's mother who hadn't felt well all day ended up so sick just after the ceremony that she had to go to the hospital. Her family was attributing it to extreme anxiety as she has apparently had issues with it in the past. On the other side, the niece who had surgery for breast cancer recurrence on Tuesday got herself out to buy a dress Friday and came to the wedding looking absolutely beautiful even though she still had a drain under her dress. What strength! It did help that the pathology results had come through and at first read sound excellent: cancer in only one lymph node of 12 removed.

Time to start straightening the house and getting cleaned up. Luckily ex-chef DS is doing all the cooking.

Have a super Sunday!
