You are almost at that gate!

Stay warm when you go out.

DH and I were just talking this morning about whether we had any regrets about his decision to retire at 62 (partially anyhow). We have none, zero, and I think it's because of stories like what has happened to your friends. Nobody knows how many healthy years await them. I feel right now like I'm a horse in the starting gate, waiting for the bell to ring and to hear someone say, they're off!!!

Despite my plans to stay inside, we have decided to go to a movie this afternoon. We are going to see The Last Showgirl. It's getting great reviews.

I have a 12pm zoom with my daughter and my Aunt (who is also daughters godmother), to discuss some summer plans. And they're off! Indeed. Better get going here. :)

I have a dedicated movie blanket that stays in my car. I use it year round, because often the A.C. is too much. Even though I wa**** frequently, its starting to smell like popcorn topping. I may need a new one soon!

118.8 - bi-weekly injection taken last night

We made it home yesterday after a nice brunch with our friends. One was a friend who went into cardiac arrest 4 years ago and barely survived. Then 2 years ago he had cancer in his salivary glands which looked like it was terminal. Through the wonders of immunotherapy they can no longer detect the cancer. He seems to have 9 lives. His wife looks terrible though. She is on oxygen 100% of the time, is all swollen with fluid, and can barely walk. She has advanced COPD and other issues which cannot be corrected. And they are only 3 years older than me!

Dinner at the beach club last night was very nice. It was still warm after an 80 degree day. But this morning it is 53. Water aerobics is iffy (she will cancel if under 55).

We will probably go south to Fort Pierce for lunch and to the cider brewery there. Always a fun activity. Dinner is up in the air right now.

Have a masterful Monday!

Javalinas are kind of interesting looking creatures. I have only seen them in Mexico and Arizona.

Yes, we have seen a few whale babies. The restaurant is Merrimans. It has taken over Mama's as the most coveted dinner spot but Mama's is still wildly popular! We were right by Mama's when we at the north shore.

Not much to report. After several easy months getting my Zepbound at Costco, it seems to be on backorder. And I have a busy start to the week with stuff each afternoon, so I'm not sure when I'll be able to pick it up. Grr.

Sad to see the Lions lose yesterday! I would just be happy if anyone other than the Chiefs win the Super Bowl. I think it's boring when the same team wins year after year. And I'm totally Taylor Swifted out.

We walked the dog today and came across two separate coyotes and a big squadron of javalinas. It's like Wild Kingdom out here!

That's all from sunny Sedona. Take care all!

Notre Dame I think. It's been a while since they've had a year like this!

Oh yeah - Paula, definitely Mamas Fish House!

Your friend's memorial sounds perfect and lovely. How cool that Mamma Mia was played. A wonderful tribute to her.
