"Sometimes you can get what you want."
Especially when you say out loud what you want.

So DH asked me what I wanted for dinner, and I jokingly said Beef Stroganoff. He said the fancy grocery store near us had some in their deli in the ready to grab meal section, so he offered to go pick them up. Although I'm sure Paula's is superior, these weren't too bad! I added a tiny bit more sour cream and was happy. I have enough for lunch tomorrow. Sometimes you can get what you want :)
The totem pole is so cool! Can't wait to see pics of it in your home!
It was very good! I could only eat a half of a bowl! We use round steak for the beef, add mushrooms and onions and the sauce is made with a rue, a little tomato paste, beef broth, sherry and sour cream and we serve it over rice instead of noodles!
I know! I've been so lucky.

PS - how cool you lived in Taos! You certainly have packed so much in and lived so many different lives!

Isn't that cool? The oldest house in the US, oldest church, oldest continuous use public building... buildings from the 1600s are par for the course in Europe, but it's really something to see them in the Southwest!
