Yes, he's a Lakeland Terrier puppy. He'll be pretty small - about 17 pounds as a grown up.

Tell us again what breed the new baby is? He looks like an Airedale puppy, but he's not right?
Funny the way people will try to get a deal. My parents and their Florida friends loved to go to Sams Club and buy some huge sandwich there and split it 6 ways! Now knowing they all could afford to have second homes makes me think they could have a nicer lunch elsewhere, but they probably enjoyed this one so much because they had pulled off some great deal.
Peps, it is indeed getting real. And kudos to giving the experience they are hoping for as their little darlings sing their hearts out. I remember those days well. Even when they were older. DD had a lead in the play her senior year, and DH made it to all 5 performances. I had conferences so only made it to 3. :)
I worry for the weather in ND. I saw a headline this morning that snow was possible this weekend in Northern Minnesota! I didn't have time to read the article, so I don't know how possible, but seems crazy as even the north country has had unusually high temps. Today it is 87 here in Minneapolis. I hope the temp isn't crashing that much.
The retirement party saga continues! My friends switched the date so it won't conflict with the other party. So bigger party is on, and invites went out. I'm rolling with it. I asked if DH could contribute to the cost, and they agreed to let him buy some of the appetizers. So casual, but hopefully fun. The restaurant is reserving the patio space adjacent to the lake, so we're hoping for good weather. It can certainly go either way here the1st week in June.
Clothes are washed and I just need to pack them for Boston. The weather is looking a bit better for Friday, so I am going to pack my favorite pink dress for the graduation on Friday. I'm still deciding what to wear to the party on Saturday. We leave tomorrow morning at 10am.
2nd attempt to post a reply. First one got completely wiped out. I think it was my error, but I'm not 100% sure about that. You never know with OH.
The K-8 school concert is in the books! Yay! Did that this morning. It was a bit of organized school chaos, but I thrive on that, sooo... great energy and parents were happy. That's pretty much what matters! Funny to watch the audience thin out to just around a dozen adults by the time the middle schoolers performed. For the littles we had at least two hundred adults!
204.1 this morning. Perspective sure does change as weight goes down. A few weeks ago I would have been doing(and I know I did) the happy dance to see 204. Now I think it's a tad high. Never too rich or too thin... But I woke up feeling trim and good in my skin. The scale reading did nothing to change that!
Liz, please give DH my congrats on the reduced shirt size! I bet he was feeling great about that!
Paula, happy wedding! Hope the spray tan worked well. I've never done that. I get tan so easily, it's never been a need... Probably better for my skin though!
Two days of working out. Delicious! My chest is already nice and sore from yesterday's workout. Makes me happy.
LAST FACULTY MEETING OF MY CAREER TODAY AFTER SCHOOL! WHOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!
Flight reservation for puppy has been made. He'll be flying with me in cabin. He's too little to fly in baggage. No worries about his weight. He's probably all of 5 pounds...
Outlet adapters for the river cruise arrived this morning. It's all getting so real. The upcoming change of life is no longer in the distant future. It's really here!!!! WOW!!!!!

Paula is off to Fargo for the wedding weekend this morning! So exciting. I hope the sun is shining even though it is supposed to be cooler.
The Flower Moon Dinner was great last night. The Beach Club is really a beautiful place to eat at and the food was amazing. Nice company at our table as well. These summer events are nice because it is a much smaller crowd in attendance. Though we don't know some of the people because they are summer members. The club has very well priced summer memberships to bring in extra money and hopefully to get some of those members to convert to regular memberships. They have to be diligent about monitoring the program though because they have caught some of them sharing a single membership among multiple families (by bringing them as guests). A single family can only have a summer membership once so these groups were rotating the membership between families to get multiple years out of it. Amazing what some people will do especially since most of these folks actually have the means to have a regular membership. But I think they often have memberships at other clubs too so ours is an add-on.
Today is DH's weigh-in day. Should be interesting. Last night he tried to wear one of his usual size XL shirts and they were way too big. He had to wear a large from many years ago.
I am playing golf today in the summer league. I haven't played since DSD was here but I played my best game ever that day. We shall see how this goes. First there is a Justice walk.
Have a winning Wednesday!

Does the spray tan rub off on the clothes you wear before rinsing it off?

Fingers crossed that you get the scaled down party after all.
I was chuckling to myself at the landline because we ended up doing the same at my Cape house but the telephone number was different so we never gave it anyone and didn't use it. Eventually I just unplugged it.

You deserved a nap after defeating the Shark!
