Congratulations on 20 years! And also for only 40 pounds to go without "dieting"!

Perhaps the special day gods are granting you a pleasant last year for all your sacrifices the previous 30+ years in the classroom! I kind of feel that my classes overall are much better behaved than last year's. I consider it a gift. Who cares if it's the luck of the draw? I'll take it!
Liz, Congratulations on sorting all those photos and letting some go. I have some of my Great Aunt's albums. She never married, and had no children, so there is no one left to explain what I am looking at. I finally just kept the ones where I could identify people or places, and the rest are lost to time. But I agree, don't toss too many of yourself. When I was an obese Mom of young children, I wanted to avoid the camera, but I thought one day I'll be gone, and they won't care that I was fat, they'll just want a picture of us together when they were little. And so they will have some of those pictures, along with pictures of a Momma who changed her life and her health. It's all part of our story.
Today one of my co-workers said, You look so cheerful. Last year after 5th hour you looked like someone had thrown you in the washer and turned on the spin cycle! Another nice day. It's only the 2nd day, but in my experience if you are going to have big time trouble, they show themselves right away. Nobody in particular is standing out, except for a few that seem exceptionally nice. Even if it all goes south later, a few nice days at the beginning is very encouraging.
The weather is gorgeous, but a cold front and rain is coming in tonight, so we blew off home cooking to have dinner on one of our regular restaurant's patio. Make hay while the sun is shining.
Your dogs coveting the toy reminded me of Olive and Mabel and their contest for the orange bone. Maybe you've seen this video, I think it's a hoot!

Congratulations on 2 decades of sobriety!
I was told I have a large uvula. My BFF cautioned me to make sure I enunciate very clearly if I share this fact.
Oh yes, learning how a new kitchen "cooks". I've been cooking in the same kitchen for 37 years now, so I know every inch (and there are so few in my tiny little kitchen) of the space, and how to make it work. When I cook elsewhere, my parents or rental etc. my rhythm is not the same. I feel like a new kitchen will tell you it's secrets and show you what the dance will be, but it can't do it all at once. It reveals the plan overtime.
I must agree with Miss 150, there is a magical quality about this piece, and magic knowing it will shelter something so precious.
