We actually have tons of veins and if he has deep vein incompetence like me (faulty valves that cause back up of blood), new varicose veins will develop. I think I've had my stripped and/lasered at least 4 times and they could use it again. Dad had awful ropey veins and so does brother. Dang bad genes! I should wear compression stockings but hate them!
Greetings all
Summery weather today. T shirt for me which I don't do often. Usually have long sleeves. I don't own a pair of shorts. Lard legs. Fortunately shorts not needed here.
DH was up early to go to a follow up appointment on his leg vein procedures. He has some new knee compression wrap. He seems to be healing ok. He might need more of these but I hope not. How many extra leg veins does one have?
Stopped in the studio for awhile. The techs were looking at paint chips for the building outside. Not crazy about what they had. I suggested we do something intense and out there and attention grabbing like a graded pastel sunset look. It's a crummy one story building in a grungy industrial area so why not do something bold?
Liz glad you have a dog beach for Justice. Dogs do love it. Hope you can take it a little easier for a couple of days.
CC loved the film of Buccaneer Kirby! He has sea legs. Good that he is comfy on a boat. Rest up from nap.
Paula corn on the cob! The best thing ever! Reminds me there is this farm stand nearby called the Sea Goat Farm Stand. Not sure what all they have but this is the time of year to find out. Not sure what the sea and goats have to do with vegetables but guess I will find out.
More steak tonight. Tomorrow we go out to lunch for Mexican so there will be leftovers to take home.
During my treadmill walks I have started trying to do it without holding on to the bars. Balance has been an issue for me for awhile and instead of using the strange gadget DH has, I thought I might improve this way. It is a challenge and takes lots of little muscles that don't get enough use but it makes it more interesting. Baby steps - literally.
We continue to watch the Brokenwood Mysteries. It really is quite a good show. There is always a new them around each crime - winemaking, country music, auto shows or something. They do a good job.

Kirby will be soaking up all the activities by the end of summer.
Glad your Dad is improving.

We're having corn on the cob too. Nothing better fresh in the Midwest!
I'm exhausted... just took a 1.5 hour couch nap and only woke up because I was cold. Now sitting outside in an Adirondack soaking in some sun to warm up. But I still have that very groggy too long nap feeling.
Kirby just brought home a giant branch and is tearing it apart. So much stick destruction around here!
He had his first boat ride this morning and a zoomie romp on the beach. Still not swimming, but more of his legs in the water each time. I don't blame him, the water was freezing.
I think that's it for me. Dad is doing much better today. Take care all!
Corn on the cob! It is available locally starting now - the taste of summer!

Couples Bible study last night, woman?s Bible study this morning and I meet with my Stephen?s Ministry person in 30 minutes! Also made the cheesy hash browns for the couple in our Bible study that just had their first baby. Ham and cheese sliders will be made tomorrow for them!
Stopped by the farm fresh produce stand on the way home from Bible study and picked up some corn on the cob! Will have that with grilled burgers for dinner tonight! Yum!
DH starts back on 12 hour day shifts tomorrow so it might be a boring weekend. I can?t wait for him to retire too!
You deserved that sweater! We might need a picture on TT.

So glad to hear your flight worked out okay. Hopefully DS is boarding his right now. DH is on his way back from dropping him off, DD is still sleeping, and my Aunt and Uncle are in route. So a moment of quiet.
Yesterday we spent some time poking around shops. I walked by one a couple of times that had a summer weight sweater hanging in the window. It was ridiculously expensive, but DH urged me to try it on. It was so cute. So on this trip I have imbibed the most expensive ****tail I've ever enjoyed, and now I bought the most expensive sweater I have ever owned. I'm out of control! DH was very sweet though, he pointed out he buys little doodads and souvenirs all the time, and I don't, so I just spent my souvenir money in one fell swoop.
I'm not sure what today's plans will be. My Aunt and Uncle arrive soon to spend the night. DD is leaving on the 3:15 train, so I think we will go out for lunch. Still overcast and a bit breezy. Perfect weather for a summer weight sweater. :)
