Greetings all

Another great day here. Overcast start, sunny now. Same thing every day. Works for me.

I did some work at the studio. Glazed and made a few items and tidied others for firing. This is getting to be a job! I heard from the gallery today that I am almost sold out again. So much for price raise. The whole gallery is going gangbusters this summer. We are going to have to do some serious planning for year end.

Watched the rest of the Olympic opening ceremony last night and the tower light show did not disappoint. Love this stuff even though I am not much for sports. But I can't figure out how Snoop dog got to be such a big deal in the Olympics and carried the torch. Just because he cooks with Martha Stewart?

CC the next door RV party sounds like a pain. But I doubt slamming windows would do any good. They would not notice. Any clue when they are leaving? Does Kirby bark at them?

Yay on dress Liz. Glad thats all going smoothly. Now I have to go look up quahog and what they are stuffed with.

Paula keep prospecting on the art shows. There are probably a million options in Florida. Our gallery sells lots and many are photos of local stuff. People really like the nature scenes.

Burgers last night were great if I say so myself. More tonight. DH got both dogs out for walks today. He did his good deed for the day by chatting with a 94 year old man who was out walking and mostly talking. Small towns have benefits.

Still doing walking and trying to do as much as I can without holding on. Noticeable difference.

We all know too well what it is like to have that excess weight.

Good for DD! I wish DC 1 could afford the GLP 1s or even weight loss surgery for that matter. They are pushing 300 lbs. and only 5' 7". I hate to see them physically struggle with the extra weight!

I love Mexican too! My cravings for sweets and breads has been almost non-existent since I have been on the Tirzepatide, which is totally out of the norm for me.

DD has lost 10 pounds in the last month so she is very pleased. She hopes to lose another 20 by the wedding. She was way up there - almost as high as I was prior to VSG, so it is good that she is committed to this.

Down 15 lbs. and 7th shot in! I'm very pleased with the results! I can see the difference in my face already! Now the belly!

Went to an art fair with DC 1 this morning. As I suspected, many of the photographers there didn't adhere to only offering Limited Edition prints! I'll have to see if the rules are rigid in FL or not. Fair was fun and it is always nice to spend time with my kids!

Overcast and warm but not hot. Perfect weather really! Tomorrow will be cloudy too so I may head to the Botanical Gardens as overcast days are the best for my photography!

Liz, glad the dress fitting went well. I like the idea of having the back ties to make it adjustable. Is she continuing to lose weight with the meds? I had to look up the stuffed dish you had, clams! Nothing like that around here! I've never really traveled out east with the exception of NJ and NY once. Would love to see the Cape!

CC, sorry for the rude neighbors. I would have slammed my window shut too! I take it Dad and Claudia are back to their normal state of health!

Making chicken enchiladas for dinner. Man, I can't get enough Mexican as of late! Besides seafood, it his been the thing I crave the most! So glad that sweet cravings have seemed to go away. I rarely have a sweet treat anymore!

Sunday breakfast, bed stripped, sheets washing, vacuumed, tidied. A good Sunday morning! It's going to be warm here today. South wind means hot and more humid.

The temporary RV park next door was active with a Margaritaville sing along at 11:15pm. I might have slammed my bedroom window forcefully to express my displeasure. Go down to the beach if you want to do that or do it earlier!

Not much else on the docket for today. Maybe a trip to the recycle bins in town and sitting outside a while under the umbrella...

Happy Birthday DD!!!!

The bus leaves at 7:30 for breakfast, but it is only 6:30 now. We actually get to stay in town for the next week! I am looking forward to that. Between Friday and yesterday we spent almost 9 hours in the car.

The dress fitting was successful: DD looks lovely in her dress. She is adding some dropped sleeves and she chose a long veil bordered with lace from the two she had purchased. It will look so beautiful on the beach during the ceremony. Her dress has lacing on the back which allows the dress to be fitted perfectly to her body. The seamstress said that it is a great feature for curvy bodies. Afterwards we went with DD and 2 young women from her bridal party for lunch on a lake. DD surprised me by telling me that she and fiancé are already looking at homes on lakes in her area to purchase, though probably not until next year. Her fiancé already owns the home they are in and hasn't decided whether to rent it or sell it.

We thought we were heading back late enough in the afternoon to avoid most bridge traffic but it was still a 2.5 mile backup at the bridge as we were approaching it. So we got off the main road and had a ****tail and split a stuffed quahog at a tiki bar to give it more time. Cool little place - it is rare to find something like that in the Northeast unlike Florida where they are everywhere. I love tiki bars! We still had some traffic to deal with when we headed out an hour later but it wasn't too bad. DS made dinner last night which was wonderful as we wanted to stay put once home.

Today looks like a possible beach day though we also need to get Justice out for a decent walk. He is full of energy this morning!

Have a saltigrade Sunday!

I hope that good REM sleep refreshes Molly for tomorrow. Many years ago I read an article about whether dogs dream by some author who thought it was a big revelation that they did. Clearly they had not had pets and watched them running or barking in their sleep LOL.

It was wonderfully amazingly chilly here this morning...I snuggled under the comforter for a while before I got up, unable to believe this was late July in the CA Bay Area...

I LOVE the whole French thing...I lived in Paris for a few months when I was 19, with a family who basically adopted me and my travelling friend. The family were her parents' neighbor-down-the-street's sister, whose name we had only for emergencies. They tracked us down through my friend's parents, called us while we were renting a truly awful hovel of an unheated room and shared disgusting bathroom and INSISTED we stay with them, at no charge, of course. They took care of us like we were their daughters. It was an unbelievable experience, and I will never forget their kindness.

My DH and I took OUR daughter to Paris when she was about 7 for a forced cultural experience, lol, and I've been again in passing, but I hadn't spent any "relaxed" time there until this last May, when I took a trip with my BFF to meet up with college friends. We walked and walked and saw the city getting ready for the games...and I felt like I was reliving my youth.

J'aime Paris!
