Greetings all

Fat ass boobs unite! It's good to know that I am not the only person in the world whose mama report says almost entirely fat. Guess it's a good thing as it means non dense. Also, If I were on the titanic I would have my own flotation device. Come to think of it, I have always been a good floater.

So I started the day with my treadmill walk. I increased the time by a tiny bit as I realized how pathetically low my distance was. Baby steps. Still have not figured out the tv issue. After that it was studio time and glazing. Not sure if my preferred kiln will fire this week.

Yay DD on good report from your clinic. You are so right to do this and so is your clinic. Enjoy the weekend any maybe meet DS girlfriend??

Ok Liz get ready to enjoy the benefits of all your planning and effort. Have a great time.

Yeah Paula I remember seeing medical reports in connection with legal issues. They always said "well nourished". None said "over-nourished"'

CC seems like no one wants books anymore yet we hate to toss them. I am actually impressed you unpacked them after only two years. Has it really been that long since you moved?

Peps sorry about Bug's teeth. My dentist back in the midwest told me he once fixed a sheltie's teeth with a vet running the anesthetic. Wonder what sort of bet he lost!

More chili tonight. I did not eat any last night as I had a half cheeseburger left from lunch and was not hungry. Just ate some tuna salad which hits the spot.

It's been overcast all day. Fall is coming....

161.6. Another smidge down. I can tell injection day is tomorrow. Asked DH to go to Dairy Queen. He was thrilled. Went over my 1,000 calories today but not by much!

Worked the garden today and prepped some for my women's Bible study tomorrow. I'm skipping couples study tonight since DH works, I certainly could go solo but was kind of looking for an excuse not to go anyway!

Step daughter texted that she wants to come home last weekend of October and go to essentially a nurse stand up comedy show at our local Performing Arts Center (she follows the nurse on Tik Tok). I'm thrilled that she is reaching out to me and wanting to connect more. She also calls or texts periodically to vent/talk. I'm glad I have become a safe place for her. To say we've come a long way is an understatement! DH is a little hurt that he wasn't invited to the show, but we will do a late birthday dinner in his honor while she is here!

The charting of "fat" in the medical chart was often "well developed and nourished ". I remember reading a boyfriend's doctor visit notes and that is what it stated (many patient charts I read stated the same). He asked what that meant and I said they are nicely calling you fat. Today's chart usually include your BMI and where you fall in that spectrum. My chart actually reads medicine induced obesity as a condition I have which I have no idea where they came up with that!

I love that you are open to discussing anything. I'm sure that is part of the reason your students have loved you.

I guess you can't put braces on a dog?!?!

Fat boobs sisters! I agree, they could have doctored up the descriptor to make it less insulting!

CC you are a mind reader! I got my mammogram report late yesterday and I was getting ready to make a *****y post because my reports says under breast density "Almost entirely fat". Well geez. Could they not say something more medical like "primarily adipose tissue"? Oh well, it's not like I did not know this. I guess it means it's not that super dense tissue one has to worry about.

Cripes; when they weigh me at the doctor they do not write "almost entirely fat"!! Or maybe they do....

Boob talk make me uncomfortable? Surely, you jest! I can talk about taboo subject better than most. Perhaps sadly, pretty much NOTHING is off limits in my book. I'll pretty much talk about it all. I have a friend who is a polyamorous dominatrix. Some of the conversations we've had could peel back wallpaper!

Weight was down a few tenths this morning. Not that I count, but I do like getting closer to the next lower ones digit on the scale. My "wearable" clothes are waning. I am finding that I am emotionally refusing to wear certain pieces because they feel too tent like. That so contrasts to a year ago when tent like clothing was preferred.

The wedding is in REAL time now. It's here. Have the best and most joyous time, Liz.

GLP-1 meds.... Yes, the cost is unreal, but wow! The benefit pretty much outweighs the cost for me. My hope is to continue for maintenance. Even if I have to use savings, I will do it. I don't think I will, but I'm going to allow myself that essential health luxury in retirement.

More dog breeder angst... Not seeming to catch many breaks lately. Bug's hips are fantastic, but her teeth are not coming in properly and not in a mild way. Looks like her canines are going to be on the INSIDE of her mouth instead of the cheeks side (lingual vs. distal). UGH!!! and BOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Happy Hump Day!

You know I was thinking that this morning. I should have done this every few years (maybe every 3-5 years). It would have felt good plus not have been so onerous as doing it just when moving. But when I was working full time and had kids around I am not sure I would have found the time.

Mammograms! Gotta get them, but they're weird. I would only confess this to you all, but before my WLS, my whole boob would not fit on the plate, they had to do lower boob and upper boob. So who wins the fat-assed boob award? Pretty sure I'd get the same designation as you CC if my clinic used it. They are kinder and label them low density. Or maybe the correct label for me would be essentially fat and skin. Lots of skin.

I'm home today because of an appointment with my WLS clinic. My iron binding capacity etc was low last time, but now is back in the low normal range. I will keep working on supplements. Otherwise, everything is good. They can keep prescribing Wegovy as maintenance, because even though I still have an overweight BMI, it's low enough to demonstrate the medication works for me.

Another stretch of beautiful weather this week! Delighted to hear the forecast is favorable for Massachusetts.

We are going to visit DS this weekend. DH is bringing his bike, so I'm guessing ill have a little time to read and relax while they hit the trails. I love that DS is so looking forward to sharing them with his Dad. We might be meeting his new girlfriend. Last weekend they went to Door County ( Paula's favorite) and stayed in a glamping rental. I'm happy he is have fun.

I'm going to take the opportunity to go work out during the day in a few minutes. Another reason I can't wait to retire!
