Some of the people here would blow you away! Booked all day every day. Golf in the early part of the day then cards for the afternoon. Next day tennis followed by bocce then dinner out. And so on...

That's how a I felt with Covid. I couldn't even dry myself off standing up after a shower, I needed to sit on the floor to dry off. Praying you will get better soon my friend!

140.2.
Baby, it's cold outside.... Spending this morning watching the snow blowing horizontal to the ground Brrrrrrrrrr, but grateful to be warm and on the inside. Going nowhere fast today and most likely not tomorrow. Wind chills up to -20/30 degrees. We were forecast to 8-12 inches which is a lot for here,, but temperatures so low that snowflakes very small and likely to get more like 6". Bundle up, Paula!

17 bean and ham bone soup on the stove with southern white cornbread for supper...so very good.

Liz, I had to smile when you mentioned your "moderate" social out and about lifestyle. Planning "only" one activity per day is uber busy in my mind and the energy and enjoyment you have for it blows me away...I bow in your general direction .

Stay warm and well, enjoying yourselves as it pleases each to do.

That" respiratory thing" Liz mentioned is turning into pneumonia right and left around here and sending folks to hospital...definitely might want to see health care provider in person and nip this in the bud. Waiting till condition worsens may not be best practices. Sending oxygen filled healing juju your way. And of course, prayers for healing.

You're right. I made an appointment at a Minute Clinic nearby. I like I could pick a time, instead of sitting in an Urgent Care waiting room. Even if they don't give me antibiotics, I can get more prescription strength cough suppressant.

It's not fun to go to the doctor on vacation, but the sooner you go, the sooner they might be able to get you started on meds that will make you feel better! Think of it as every hour you wait is another hour of feeling lousy.

I wondered about that. My friend did end up on antibiotics for a week finally.

We have a friend who got the respiratory thing going around here and is still suffering the aftereffects 4 weeks later - the coughing and congestion are finally gone but he has very little energy which is unusual for him - he is in his early 60's and generally pretty hardy. But he is getting there.

Neither my grandmother nor mother sewed. Not even a button! I learned in school in 7 grade junior high. I can do most things though I hate doing piping so decided not to do it on these cushions. I don't do heavy duty alterations to tailored clothes either but will alter when it only involves taking in seams or raising hems. My mother used to ask me to sew on buttons so she didn't have to bring clothes somewhere else when the buttons fell off.
