If your prescription coverage is under any sort of Medicare Part D, then it is not currently covered as Medicare has a stipulation that they do not cover weight loss drugs. Biden started an initiative to change that but as far as I know it has not made its way through whatever approval process is required.

Snowing here again--started yesterday, still snowing. Diane, don't come back!
The much advertised-in-the-news Kentucky floods aren't an issue for us, but the Ohio River is really up. A monthly luncheon we usually attend (Louisville Committee on Foreign Relations) meets at the Boat Club, and it's been relocated due to high water down on River Road.
Yesterday was a booger! I left home at 7:30 and drove to Columbus, Ohio, (113 miles from home) in a bit of a snowstorm. It wasn't dangerous, but it required massive concentration. The reason for this trip was to be sure I was ordering the right IKEA components for my closet/dressing room. I had an awesome consultant and brought home some things that were in stock there, ordered some more that will arrive next week, and learned that the really big 8-foot cases that every closet requires are out of stock. They're supposed to be back online the last week of March, which means we'll probably have to have the contractor come back after we've moved in downstairs to install the IKEA containers/drawers/hangers/shoe racks/jewelry tray/etc.
I have an appointment this morning at 10:30 at a sister gym to mine where they have a big ole standing gizmo that will better evaluate my body fat. It's not the gold standard, but it's better than that silly thing I squeezed at my gym the other day.
DD, for some reason I've been obsessing about some things you shared a few days ago about your mother's (clearing throat) self-centeredness. Jeez, honey, I'm sorry you have had to navigate those unpleasantnesses. But the good news is that you turned out so very well, so kind, and so generous. In fact, all you guys who are parents--whether your own parents were saints or not--are lovely with your kids. Although I didn't have to develop those skills, I do appreciate what good parenting looks like, and y'all get gold stars.
The big news is that hubby has to have surgery this Friday to remove all the long screws in the four toes on which he had hammer toe surgery in late September 2023--17 months ago. The screws are gradually working their way out of his toes--one is already sticking out. He's been in pain ever since the surgery and said so every time we've visited the surgeon since his surgery. I'll not say here now what I think about the surgeon who has pretty much belittled the problem until two weeks ago when the first screw actually appeared outside his toe, and then he freaked out, saying, "We have to operate now!" No **** Sherlock. Needless to say, because of our remodel the timing of this surgery is awful, but there's no way to delay it, since otherwise infection will set in.
So now I'm channeling my deceased sister who often said, "The only way through is straight down the middle." Let's do this!

For some reason yesterday's thread is locked and Diane S' post is in twice. Really weird. I sent a question to the tech group (don't have a lot of confidence that I will get an answer). ETA: OH Help did get back to me and said they couldn't figure out why it was locked but they unlocked it. Still weird.
Anyway, congrats to Diane S on beating the shark! And so glad that DD got some meds to avoid pneumonia or whatever complications may be brewing. Do you think you got enough encouragement from the group to see someone LOL?
Our one activity yesterday of going to the beach club was short-lived as it got super cloudy. We did have lunch there though. We went to the practice range in the afternoon and I practiced my golf. I was doing better without criticism;)
Today there are 2 activities but spread apart: water aerobics at 9 and bocce at 4. Oh wait! There is also a 3rd: Italian night at the clubhouse. But that just means we don't have to cook so that doesn't really count.
But first a Justice walk before I take DH to golf. Have a wonderfully wondrous Wednesday!

Any time! We just finished eating. Substituted French garlic bread for the cornbread. Hit just the right spot.
Well I have all the medicines now, Augmentin for a sinus infection, prednisone for upper respiratory infection (wheezing, but not in the lungs yet), Flonase, more cough suppressant and Zyrtec D for decongestant. I will be on the mend soon. :)
Greetings all
Not raining. That's all I can say. I did well at Scrable and defeated the Shark. Two bingo words of 70+ points each! Lost game 3 by a small amount. After that I had a routine "fog the mirror" doctor appointment so I decided to ask about weight loss meds. He says he will write one for me or to go ahead and check on the on line stuff - whatever is less costly. So he is ok with the idea which was sort of my hold up, I am supposed to research what my insurance will pay for. So I will. Probably nothing. So maybe I will get on the train after I get this cataract stuff done.
after that I ran errands to the accountant for studio taxes. I was hungry but decided to go do the gym because if I come home and eat something I will never leave. Got it done and all good.
DD glad you are going to the clinic. Pneumonia must be addressed and not just with Mai Tais (though that sounds like a good idea) Hope they give you antibiotics cuz I am sure you need them. So sorry you are sick on trip.
Bonnie soup sounds great! What a fine thing on a snowy day. Comfort food of the highest order. And yeah stay home if you can. Warm is good.
Liz I am with you - a no event day is grand. I don't know how some people schedule stuff all day long nor do I understand why. My personal theory is that such people are boring and thats why they need constant entertainment; but that probably reflects my introvert homebody tendencies. Glad you talked to your DH about being an undesired golf commentator.
Yum yum sandwiches tonight. DH is zoned out on sci fi. No thanks.
CC yoo hoo! Everything ok?

Some of the people here would blow you away! Booked all day every day. Golf in the early part of the day then cards for the afternoon. Next day tennis followed by bocce then dinner out. And so on...
