119.8 - official weight for the week. I looked back and I have been hovering more or less in the same weight area for 5 months now and at my current dose of 1 mg of tirzepatide twice a week for 2 months. So it seems to be working. I have enough for about another 11 months, then will have to figure out how to get it again.
Today is another day with nothing on the calendar and the temperature may actually get to 70 today. It is clear and calm out in the Marina this morning. Maybe we can even open up the lanai sliders later. We will probably go to Happy Hour tonight to catch up with some people. Likely leftover lasagne following that.
But first, a Justice walk! Have a fiery Friday!

Sounds similar to that recipe actually. So glad you made it to warmth. I hope DH is feeling well after his respiratory stuff a few days ago.

It does sound like a great deal but tough to decide with those broad reviews.

Yeah, my face is sagging a bit more around the eyelids, jaw and neck but it has been over 8 years since I had a facelift and 7 since my eyelids were done. It was a lower facelift at the time because my jowls and neck sag were so prominent after losing weight following VSG. I think I still look somewhat younger than the 70 I will be in 2 months but I hate it regardless. I don't think I would have another facelift but who knows?

Late check in for me! I posted a few pics and summary of our day on FB if you are interested.
I loved Jimmy Carter! Such a sweet, caring man.
Tomorrow morning we have a whale watching tour and then not sure what else is on the docket! I think maybe some pool time and soaking up some rays! Today was nice and warm but pretty cloudy with just a bit of spitting rain!
Calories have been low (even though I stopped tracking yesterday). Need to do a better job with hydration! It seems so hard for me!
My lasagna recipe is super easy. I actually make a "casserole " with Malfalda noodles (look like little lasagna noodles). I cook up about a pound of lean ground beef, drain the fat and add my favorite canned pasta sauce which is usually Ragu chunky garden vegetable, I cook a box of the pasta and drain. Them I layer meat sauce, pasta, cottage cheese, mozzarella cheese for a few layers ending with meat sauce and a layer of mozzarella. If I'm only cooking for 2-3. I divide it between 2 8X8 ish pans and freeze one to eat later! Easy!
Kudos again to Liz (for the umpteenth time) for sharing the best getting-to-sleep tip I've ever had: Wear socks to bed.

Ditto your diagnosis of narcissism with a big streak of assholery.

Last year we made tentative plans to travel to Egypt with BFF in November 2025. She found an agency called Exoticca, which seems impossibly cheap. 9 days, (2 of which are travel days), hotels, site admissions, 3 day all inclusive river cruise on the Nile and airfare from Minneapolis for around $2,400 pp. Reviews are all over the place from we've done 5 different tours and love them, to, they're great to mostly good but prepare for some frustrations, to, it was a total nightmare.
I don't need top drawer, luxury experience. I think in Egypt we do need a tour though. Considering it, but feel like it's a gamble. But if it was halfway decent, what a way to kick off my retirement year!
Cold again, and today, a dusting of snow. But not enough to prevent the cancellation of several dog sled races. Snow cover has become unreliable in the last decade.
Liz, Florida cold can be quite uncomfortable, because it's a damp cold. Gets right into your bones. I know January in Florida means all possibilities of temps. For many years in a row we traveled to Orlando around MLK weekend because my Dad went to a veterinary convention, and the rest of us went to Disney. Some days in short sleeves, and others with coats. But I feel like the weather fluctuations crept further into February these last few years. DH and I started taking our Florida 5 day weekend the last week in February to ensure warmer temps. This year we're going from the 14th - 20th to take advantage of President's Day (wow, 6 days instead of 5!) but I'm a little worried it might not be reliably warm by then. But it will definitely be warmer than Minnesota!
Wegovy has certainly been my friend! But sometimes I think I have resting Ozempic face, but its probably just natural aging. As my Auntie told me, you're either a sinker or a sagger, and my dear, we are saggers!
Making it through the week. Today I was doing an IEP meeting via Google meet when there was an internet outage in our building and I got dropped. Dang, nobody wants to reschedule these meetings. I was able to get into the meeting with my phone, and the people outside of the district were still there, so yeah! If no one else was impressed with me, I was :)
Indeed Jimmy Carter was an inspirational man. Even in his death he gives us hope: how beautiful is it that so many people from all walks of life, religious beliefs and political philosophies can be unified in acknowledging this man's goodness. May we all emulate his values that we admire.
